"THE 4400" HELPS IN REAL-LIFE PLIGHT TO FIND MISSING AMERICANS

USA NETWORK JOINS THE FIGHT TO RAISE AWARENESS FOR THE PLIGHT OF MISSING AMERICANS WITH THE 4400 METER RUN/WALK AT EXPOSITION PARK

Cast members of the hit series THE 4400, which premieres Sunday, June 5 at 9:00pm ET/PT, will participate in the first-ever event.

LOS ANGELES -- May 25, 2005 -- Thousands of participants will join for the first-ever The 4400 Meter Run/Walk at Exposition Park on Sunday, June 5, at 8:00 a.m. on the South Lawn. USA Network is partnering with The National Center on Missing Adults (NCMA) and The Nation's Missing Children's Organization (NMCO) to raise awareness and funds for NCMA and NMCO for their efforts to return missing Americans to their homes. The cost for pre-registration is $18.50; the entrance fee is $25.00 the day of the event. A percentage of the proceeds will go to NCMA and NMCO.

Cast members of USA's critically acclaimed hit series The 4400, which chronicles the simultaneous return of 4400 people who had mysteriously disappeared over the years, will be on hand to participate in the run/walk to raise awareness and funds for the organizations that help reunite families and return missing Americans to their homes. The show premieres its second season June 5, at 9:00pm ET/PT.

Before participants begin on their 4400-meter run/walk, Jannel Rap, whose sister is missing and Charlene Cruz, whose oldest son is missing, will speak about their personal experiences. As of July 30, 2004, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, National Crime Information Center (NCIC) records show there are 47,842 active missing adult cases, with 30,622 adults missing one year or more.

"The public plays a critical role in generating leads for unsolved disappearances of missing person cases," explained Kym Pasqualini, Chief Executive Officer at NCMA & NMCO. "Our partnership with USA and the hit series 'The 4400' gives our agency the ability to literally reach into over 5.9 million homes, making this the largest opportunity to create awareness in our agency's 11-year history."

The runners will start at 8:00 a.m., with the walkers following at 8:15 a.m. After completing the course, all participants will be able to enjoy snacks and entertainment in a festival-like atmosphere. In addition, everyone will receive gift bags containing products and coupons from event sponsors including 24 Hr. Fitness, Cliff Bars, Langers Juice, Paramount Farms' Almond Munchies, SmartWater and Emergen-C. The first 500 registrants will receive the Season One DVD of The 4400.

THE 4400 was created by Scott Peters and Rene Echevarria. Ira Steven Behr, Scott Peters, Maira Suro and Perry Simon are executive producers. THE 4400 is produced by Paramount Network Television in association with Sky Television, Renegade 83 and American Zoetrope for USA Network.
