Network Celebrates the June 28th DVD Release of Ren & Stimpy: Seasons Three and a Halfish with Hilarious Four-Episode Marathon

NEW YORK, June 9 -- The twisted misadventures of insane Chihuahua, "Ren," and his "eediot" sidekick feline, "Stimpy," join TV Land for one night only when the network airs a two-hour marathon of the duo's most memorable episodes on Friday, June 17 from 12 a.m. to 2 a.m. ET/PT. The incredibly successful, animated series, which developed a huge cult following, is filled with bizarre antics and delivers non-stop humor to fans of all ages.

The series features a mismatch made in animation heaven with "Ren," a temperamental and headstrong Chihuahua, and "Stimpy," a loyal and trusting cat. The two find themselves in impossible situations and exhibit often gross and shocking behavior. Together, they get up to all sorts of wacky antics, from going into space to acting as door-to-door rubber nipples salesmen. Although it launched on Nickelodeon in 1991, the show's main audience was college and university students, who quickly tapped into its subversive nature and excellent characterization. The Ren & Stimpy Show earned an Emmy nomination in 1993. Creator John Kricfalusi (John K.) provided the voice for "Ren Hoek" (1991-1993), "Mr. Horse" (1991-1993) as well as other characters. Billy West provided the voices for Stimpson J. "Stimpy" Cat (1991-1996), "Ren Hoek" (1992-1996), "Mr. Horse" (1992-1996), "Sven Hoek" (1992), "hey, it's That Guy" (1991-1995), "Mr. Pipe" (1991-1993) and others.

The Ren & Stimpy: Seasons Three and a Halfish DVD is a three-disc boxed set featuring all the classic episodes from the Third (and half of the fourth) seasons of Ren & Stimpy. In addition to 17 historical cartoons, the DVD includes audio commentary from John K. and the Spumco Animation team. For the first time ever, viewers will be able to learn what actually happened to "Ren & Stimpy" both before and after John K's infamous departure. And if that isn't enough, the DVD also features in-character commentary from "Ren & Stimpy" themselves, as Stimpson J. Cat and Ren Hoek provide their own unique brand of twisted insight on their cartoon adventures.

The following is the schedule for The Ren & Stimpy marathon (all times ET/PT):

12:00am #1 -- Space Madness/The Boy who Cried Rat Space Madness: Commander Ren Hoek & Cadet Stimpy are on a 36 year mission to the Craft Nebula, but on the way Ren catches the dreaded "space madness." The Boy Who Cried Rat: Ren dresses up as a mouse as Stimpy offers his mouse catching services Mr. and Mrs. Pipe.

12:30am #3 -- In the Army/Powdered Toast Man In The Army: Looking for something to do, Ren and Stimpy join the US Army and are ordered to report to a sergeant who shouts orders that Stimpy can only understand while Ren tries his hardest to slack off. Powdered Toastman: Little do some know that Pastor Toast Man is really Powdered Toastman, a hero who saves a cat, rescues the pope, and helps the president.

1:00am #22 -- Stimpy's Cartoon Show/Flod Stimpy is making a cartoon and Ren tries to persuade Stimpy that cartoons aren't good for the brain. Stimpy makes Ren the producer of the cartoon, but Ren completely takes over. Show Segment: "FLOD: The World's Most Perfect Cube Of Fat"

1:30am #23 -- Jiminy Lummox/Bass Masters Jiminy Lummox: Stimpy walks in on Ren while he tortures an ant. After concluding that Ren has no conscience, Stimpy lets Ren borrow his conscience, guitar player Jiminy Lummox. Bass Masters: Ren & Stimpy are the hosts of a popular fishing show. They set out on a mission to catch the legendary foul mouth Bass, Albert, and Wilber Cobb escapes from prison to come along with them.
