Tara Slone Is the Sixth Performer Eliminated from the Competition on "Rock Star: Inxs"

[via press release from CBS]

TARA SLONE IS THE SIXTH PERFORMER ELIMINATED FROM THE COMPETITION ON "ROCK STAR: INXS"

Nine Contestants Remain In the Competition To Become The Lead Singer of the Band INXS

After falling into the bottom three in viewer votes and after a collective decision by the band, INXS, Tara Slone of Toronto, Ontario was eliminated last night from the competition to become the new lead singer of INXS on ROCK STAR: INXS.

During last night's broadcast, Tara learned her fate from Tim Fariss, a member of the band, who said that "she just wasn't right for their band, INXS." Tara, a musician, along with Ty Taylor and Brandon Calhoon, made up the three performers with the fewest viewer votes and had to perform an INXS song in front of a studio audience in a fight to stay in the competition.

Tara performed "Beautiful Girl," while INXS members Jon Farriss and Andrew Farris jammed along with the house band. Tim said while she sang her song 'beautifully,' they all felt her vocals lacked passion. Tara becomes the sixth singer eliminated from the competition, following Dana Robbins, Wil Seabrook, Neal Carlson, Heather Luttrell and Daphna Dove.

The nine remaining performers will continue in the competition vying to become the new lead singer of INXS. ROCK STAR: INXS is broadcast on Tuesdays (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) and Wednesdays (9:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and Sundays (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT), on VH1. Dave Navarro and Brooke Burke are the hosts.
