GRAMMY AWARD-WINNING SUPERSTAR TIM MCGRAW PARTNERS WITH ABC'S NFL "MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL" FOR SPECIAL MUSICAL HALFTIME HIGHLIGHTS

ABC's NFL "Monday Night Football," the most successful primetime series in television history announces a season-long partnership with Grammy Award-winning superstar Tim McGraw for special musical halftime highlights throughout the 36th season of the series. NFL highlights from the weekend's game will be set to McGraw's single, "I Like it I Love it," in a twist of the hugely popular former MNF halftime segment - Howard Cosell's halftime highlights.

Each Monday, the lyrics of "I Like it I Love it" will be rewritten to fit the halftime highlights. NFL Films will provide highlights for the MNF segment that have not previously been seen. McGraw and his band are recording a new version of the song to be used for "Monday Night Football."

"We are flattered that a star of Tim McGraw's magnitude wants to dedicate one of his songs to halftime 'Monday Night Football,'" said "Monday Night Football" producer Fred Gaudelli. "We are thrilled to be working with him."

Tim McGraw's career achievements are as remarkable as they are numerous: Nine albums spawning 25 No.-1 singles and selling 32 million copies; tours that consistently rank near the top in financial and entertainment terms; and scores of awards, among them a 2001 CMA Entertainer of the Year nod, two Grammys and the 2004 People's Choice Award for Favorite Male Musical Performer. His latest album, "Live Like You Were Dying," spawned a title track single that reigned at No. 1 for a record-breaking 10 consecutive weeks. McGraw just wrapped filming on his first leading role in "Flicka," due in theaters next year.

ABC's NFL "Monday Night Football," which is celebrating its 36th anniversary, is the most successful primetime series in television history. During last football season "Monday Night Football" finished in the Top-10 (6th) among all primetime shows on network television for the 15th consecutive season, and finished first again in the key male demographics.
