T-Boz & Chilli of TLC Select the Final Girl from Atlanta to Join the Competition, But Send Three Girls Home in the First Elimination, on "R U the Girl with T-Boz & Chilli"

[via press release from UPN]

T-BOZ & CHILLI OF TLC SELECT THE FINAL GIRL FROM ATLANTA TO JOIN THE COMPETITION, BUT SEND THREE GIRLS HOME IN THE FIRST ELIMINATION, ON "R U THE GIRL WITH T-BOZ & CHILLI"

O'so Krispie From Atlanta Is Last Girl Added To The Competition

Lesli From Valley Village, Calif., Lauren From Lynnfield, Mass. and Nazanin From Valencia, Calif Are Eliminated

At the beginning of last night's episode, T-Boz & Chilli ambushed their final girl, O'so Krispie from Atlanta, and invited her to be part of the competition.

After the nine girls moved into the Atlanta mansion, T-Boz & Chilli put them to their first test by dividing them into three groups to see how well they worked together, but it was obvious that some of the girls weren't strong enough. After watching each of the performances, T-Boz & Chilli decided to send Lesli, Lauren and Nazanin home.

From the start, Lesli was a loner. Things got more difficult when she spent little time working on her routine with her teammates, O'so Krispie and Mirrah. Frustrations brewed when Lesli was more concerned with a smoke break than rehearsing. At the elimination ceremony, T-Boz & Chilli's main criticism was that they didn't look like a group. The girls thought it was obvious that Lesli was more of a solo artist and as a result, knew she wasn't the right fit for them and sent her home.

Lauren worked hard on her performance and was convinced that she gave it her all. But throughout practice, her teammates, Crystal and Arielle, didn't think she was getting the routine down. They gave her direction, but felt she was the weakest performer of all of the girls. T-Boz & Chilli agreed. They thought Lauren had a beautiful voice, but she was not a strong dancer. Since dancing is a huge part of TLC, Lauren was eliminated.

Nazanin had trouble throughout rehearsals as she couldn't remember the lyrics and had problems with some of the vocal parts of the song causing major concern among her teammates, Alju and Meah. Although T-Boz & Chilli thought their group had the best crowd participation, their harmonies were missing. They noticed Nazanin lost her way during the routine and let it show. Therefore, they had to let her go.

Three years after losing their bandmate Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes in a tragic car accident, T-Boz & Chilli of TLC are ready for a new beginning for themselves and their fans. Blending comedy and reality, these singing sensations set out on a journey filled with emotion, comedy, surprises and special guests to look for that one lucky and talented girl who just might be the perfect fit. For nine weeks, the girls work closely with the diverse group of aspiring female performers to find the one with the right chemistry who can join them on their next great escapade, which will culminate in a concert performance during a live finale to air on UPN.

R U THE GIRL WITH T-BOZ & CHILLI is produced by The Jay and Tony Show, in association with Fox Television Studios. The executive producers are Jay Blumenfield & Anthony Marsh, Chilli & Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins. Bill Diggins and Laurie Girion ("Last Comic Standing") are co-executive producers.

R U THE GIRL WITH T-BOZ & CHILLI airs Wednesdays, (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on UPN.
