KYLE ELIMINATED FROM UPN'S "AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL"

Kyle, a Dairy Queen manager from Dexter, Mich., became the seventh girl eliminated from the fifth cycle of UPNs hit series AMERICAS NEXT TOP MODEL, reducing the pool from seven girls to six.

Tyra surprised the girls at their Beverly Hills home and directed them in a no-frills black and white photo shoot that highlighted each girls inner beauty. Later that day, the girls met with trainer Eric Viskovicz at Camp Technique to endure a grueling afternoon of obstacle course work. The girls jumped hurdles and army crawled through mud to ensure a good work out and a dirty outcome that would prepare them for their next challenge. While most of them embraced the obstacle course, Kyle was less than enthusiastic stating, I can feel it [mud] going down my pants, going in my ear. Its a gross feeling.

Before they could clean up, the girls were sent on a go-see with the editors of ELLEgirl magazine. Each girl had to work past her mud-caked appearance to express her personality and inner beauty in an interview and impromptu photo shoot. The ELLEgirl panel felt that while Kyle is beautiful and comfortable in front of the camera, her inner beauty didnt show through enough in the photo shoot. "Maybe you need to work on a range of expression, Fashion Director Lori Trott suggested to Kyle.

The next day Jay Manuel directed the girls in an advertising photo shoot promoting the new Ford Fusion car. Each girl dressed as 1940s pin-up girls and posed to create a classic sexy look. While Kyle felt the photo shoot portrayed her feminine side, photographer and guest judge Richard Dean commented her photos could have been better if she stopped worrying about the competition and trusted her own talent.

During the weeks elimination ceremony, the girls were challenged to express their definition of sexy by creating an outfit from a room filled with clothes and accessories. The judges were not pleased with Kyles ensemble, as they felt it lacked confidence and sex appeal. Although they felt her beauty was the most striking of any of the other participants, the judges felt that Kyles looks were not enough to create a Top Model. You have all the potential in the world, but just might be stuck being pretty, Tyra said to Kyle before eliminating her from the competition.

The winner of UPN's AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL will have the opportunity to be managed by Ford Models. She will also receive a $100,000 contract with cosmetics giant CoverGirl. The winner will additionally appear in a fashion spread in Elle magazine and on the cover of ELLEgirl magazine.

The fifth installment of UPN's hit dramality series AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL follows 13 young women as they attempt to prove they have what it takes to make it in the high-stress, high-stakes world of modeling. Banks, who created the show, also serves as executive producer along with Ken Mok ("Making the Band") and Anthony Dominici ("The Amazing Race").

AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL airs Wednesdays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on UPN. For more information about AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL log on to www.upn.com.
