CBS Becomes First Network Since 1988 To Win First 6 Weeks of Season

CBS Wins 4th Straight Week in 24-54

CBS Wins 3rd Straight Week in 18-49

Rebroadcast of "CSI" Is Week's Top Program in Viewers and Key Demographics

CBS achieved another milestone becoming the first network to win the first six weeks of a season in viewers since 1988, according to Nielsen ratings for the week ending Oct. 30, week six of the 2005-2006 season.

CBS also placed first in adults 25-54 for the fourth consecutive week and first in adults 18-49 for the third straight week. CBS now trails ABC by just -0.1 rating point season-to-date in adults 18-49.

For the week in viewers, CBS (12.57m) beat FOX (10.32m), ABC (9.51m) and NBC (8.70m). This is the first time one network has won the first six weeks of the television season in viewers since NBC won weeks 1-6 in the 1988-89 season. Season-to-date, CBS (12.89m) is followed by ABC (10.80m), NBC (9.38m) and FOX (9.13m).

For the week in households, CBS (8.2/13) enjoyed a +22% advantage over FOX (6.7/11), +32% over ABC (6.2/10) and +39% over NBC (5.9/09). Season-to-date, CBS is first in households (8.4/14), outpacing ABC by +20% (7.0/11), NBC by +33% (6.3/10) and FOX by +42% (5.9/10).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (4.8/12) for the fourth consecutive week and first in adults 18-49 (3.8/10) for the third week in a row. Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 and second in adults 18-49 (-0.1 rating point or 111,000 adults 18-49 behind ABC).

� NCIS was first in households (11.7/18), viewers (18.01m), adults 25-54 (5.9/14) and adults 18-49 (4.3/11) for the sixth consecutive week. This is the highest rated episode of NCIS ever for the fourth consecutive week. It is the most watched episode ever for the second straight week and the third time in four weeks, breaking the 18 million viewers mark for the first time ever. (Note: October 4th was the first time the program broke the 16 million viewer mark and October 18th was the first time the program delivered more than 17 million viewers).

� THE KING OF QUEENS was first in households (7.5/11), viewers (11.23m) and adults 25-54 (4.6/11) for the fifth consecutive week and first in adults 18-49 (3.9/10) for the fourth time in five weeks. This is THE KING OF QUEENS's best delivery since moving to this time period this season in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.

� HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was first in households (7.3/11), viewers (10.89m), adults 25-54 (4.8/11) and adults 18-49 (3.9/10). This is the best adults 25-54 performance for HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER ever, matched the best households and adults 18-49 delivery and posted the most watched episode since the series premiere on 9/19/05.

� TWO AND A HALF MEN was first in households (10.8/15), viewers (16.77m), adults 25-54 (6.9/15) and adults 18-49 (5.5/13). This is TWO AND A HALF MEN's best delivery since moving to this time period this season in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and matched the season's best adults 18-49 performance.

� OUT OF PRACTICE hit season highs in households (8.7/13), adults 25-54 (5.5/11), adults 18-49 (4.4/10) and its best viewer delivery (13.09m) since its 9/19/05 premiere. This is the fourth consecutive week OUT OF PRACTICE improved its adults 18-49 performance.

� CSI: MIAMI was first in households (12.9/20), viewers (19.94m), adults 25-54 (8.5/19) and adults 18-49 (6.8/16). This is the best delivery for CSI: MIAMI this season in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

� SURVIVOR: GUATEMALA won its time period in households (10.6/17), viewers (17.38m), adults 25-54 (7.5/19), adults 18-49 (6.2/17) and adults 18-34 (4.1/13). SURVIVOR beat ABC, NBC and FOX combined in viewers (vs. 17.19m, +1%), matched the three in adults 25-54 (vs. 7.5/19) and nearly beat the three networks combined in adults 18-49 (vs. 6.6/18).

� CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (R) (9:00-10:01PM) was first in households (15.4/23), viewers (24.22m), adults 25-54 (9.9/22), adults 18-49 (8.0/20) and adults 18-34 (5.7/16). CSI was the week's most watched program and highest rated in adults 18-49.

� WITHOUT A TRACE (10:01-11:00PM) won its time period in households (14.2/24), viewers (21.75m) adults 25-54 (8.4/21), adults 18-49 (6.7/18) and adults 18-34 (4.6/14). WITHOUT A TRACE posted its best delivery in households, viewers and adults 25-54 since March 10, 2005.

� GHOST WHISPERER won its time period in households (7.6/14), viewers (11.73m), adults 25-54 (4.2/13), adults 18-49 (3.2/11) and adults 18-34 (1.8/07). This is the time period's best delivery in households, viewers and adults 18-49 since 2/6/04 ("Joan of Arcadia") and best adults 18-34 and adults 25-54 since 10/7/05.

� 48 HOURS MYSTERY was first in households (6.3/12), viewers (9.02m), adults 25-54 (3.0/08) and adults 18-49 (2.3/07). This is 48 HOURS MYSTERY's best household performance since November 27, 2004 and best viewer delivery since January 15, 2005.
