WEEK No. 7:

During the week of October 31, 2005, ABC earned second-place across each of the key adult demographics: AD18-34 (3.1/10), AD18-49 (3.9/10) and AD25-54 (4.5/11). ABC ranked as the No. 1 network in Adults 18-49 on three nights of the week (Monday, Saturday and Sunday). The Net won the week among Women 18-34 (3.6/10), and Disney-owned ABC was again the top-rated broadcaster in Kids 2-11 (1.3/6).

� Through the first 4 nights of the 2005 November Sweep, ABC is up by +9% in Total Viewers (10.6 million vs. 9.7 million) and by +5% in Adults 18-49 (4.0/11 vs. 3.8/10) over the same nights last November. CBS is the only other broadcaster to grow its viewer (+1%) or Adult 18-49 (+2%) numbers versus the same point last November.

Rankings: ABC aired 3 of the Top 4 TV series during the week in the key Adult 18-49 sales demographic, with ABC�s �Desperate Housewives� ranking as the highest-rated show of the week: �Desperate Housewives� � No. 1, �Grey�s Anatomy� � No. 3 and �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� � No. 4. ABC aired 5 of the Top 15 most-watched programs of the week: �Desperate Housewives� � No. 2, �Grey�s Anatomy� � No. 5, �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� � No. 7, �NFL Monday Night Football� � No. 9 and �Commander In Chief� � No. 15. In addition to topping the week Adults 18-49, ABC�s �Desperate Housewives� also qualified as the No. 1 program of the week in Adults 18-34 and in each of the key women demos (W18-34/W18-49/W25-54). ABC�s �Monday Night Football� was the week�s No. 1 program in Men 18-49. For the second week in a row, ABC�s �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� stood as TV�s No. 1 unscripted program in Adults 18-49. Broad appealing �Home Edition� also ranked as the No. 1 broadcast of the week among Kids 2-11.

Monday

ABC took first place on Monday night, beating second-place CBS by 2.5 million viewers (13.6 million vs. 11.1 million) and by 47% among Adults 18-49 (5.0/14 vs. 3.4/9). ABC has been the No. 1 network on Monday night in Adults 18-49 on 8 of the past 9 weeks. ABC also delivered the No. 1 network position on the evening among Adults 25-54 (5.8/14), Adults 18-34 (4.1/13), Teens 12-17 (2.0/9) and Kids 2-11 (1.4/9).

�Monday Night Football: Baltimore at Pittsburgh� (9:07 p.m. � 12:18 a.m.)

ABC�s coverage of �NFL Monday Night Football� game, featuring the Baltimore Ravens at the Pittsburgh Steelers, drew an average audience of 16.5 million viewers and a 6.3 rating, 18 share among Adults 18-49. It was a close game, with Pittsburgh leading Baltimore by a final score of 20-19.

� It was the most-watched �MNF� contest in 7 weeks � since 9/12/05, the Monday night season premiere of the program.

� ABC�s �MNF� stood as the No. 1 TV program of the evening in Total Viewers and across all key adult demographics: AD18-34 (5.3/17), AD 18-49 (6.3/18) and AD25-54 (7.1/19).

Tuesday

�Commander In Chief� (9:00-10:01 p.m.)

Surging from its lead-in and growing its audience throughout its telecast, ABC�s �Commander In Chief� was the top draw in its time period, outpacing second-place Fox�s �House� by 1.2 million viewers (14.6 million vs. 13.4 million). The new ABC drama earned second place it its time slot in Adults 25-54 (5.3/11).

� �Commander In Chief� continued to deliver strong tune-in for ABC in the 9:00 p.m. hour, jumping from its lead-in by 7.4 million viewers (14.6 million vs. 7.2 million) and by 54% in Adults 18-49 (4.0/9 vs. 2.6/6). From its first half-hour to its second half-hour, the freshman ABC show gained 1.4 million viewers (13.9 million to 15.3 million) and 14% among Adults 18-49 (3.7/9 to 4.2/10).

�Boston Legal� (10:01-11:00 p.m.)

Taking second-place in its hour to time period veteran �Law & Order: SVU,� ABC�s �Boston Legal� defeated CBS� �Close to Home� by 1.7 million viewers (11.2 million vs. 9.5 million) and by 17% among Adults 18-49 (3.4/9 vs. 2.9/8).

Wednesday

�George Lopez�/�Freddie� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

ABC�s Wednesday comedies, �George Lopez� and �Freddie,� finished second in their respective half-hours among Adults 18-49. For the fourth consecutive week, �Freddie� built on its lead-in across each of the key adults demographics: Adults 18-34 (2.1/6 vs. 1.9/6), Adults 18-49 (2.8/7 vs. 2.6/8) and Adults 25-54 (3.2/8 vs. 3.1/8).

Thursday

With the broadcast television premiere of the Disney theatrical, �Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl,� ABC delivered substantial increases on the first night of the 2005 November Sweep. Versus the opening Thursday of last November (11/4/04), ABC�s performance on first the evening of the sweep period grew by 2.4 million viewers (8.4 million vs. 6.0 million) and by 53% among Adults 18-49 (2.9/7 vs. 1.9/5). In fact among viewers and young adults, ABC stood as the only major network to improve its delivery from the same night last year. The WB was the only other broadcaster to post year-to-year gains.

� �The Wonderful World of Disney� movie boosted ABC to its strongest Adult 18-49 (2.9/7) and Adult 18-34 (2.3/7) numbers on the opening night of a November Sweep in 5 years � since 11/2/00.

� In Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, ABC�s delivered its top non-sports Thursday since February (2/24/05). The Net posted its highest-rated non-sports Teen 12-17 rating (2.8/9) on the evening in nearly a year � since 11/25/04.

Friday

ABC earned second-place on Friday among young adults: Adults 18-34 (1.7/6) and Adults 18-49 (2.3/7-tie). The Net ranked No. 1 on the evening among Women 18-34 (2.4/8).

� ABC was up over the prior week by 5% in Total Viewers (6.8 million vs. 6.5 million) and 10% in Adults 18-49 (2.3/7 vs. 2.1/7).

�Supernanny� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

ABC�s �Supernanny� held second place in its hour among Women 18-34 (2.1/8-tie) and Women 18-49 (2.8/9-tie).

�Hope & Faith� (9:00-9:30 p.m.)

�Hope & Faith� took second place in its time period among Adults 18-49 (2.4/7), while delivering the No. 1 position in the half-hour among Adults 18-34 (1.7/6) and across the key women demographics: W18-34 (2.4/8), W18-49 (3.3/10) and W25-54 (4.0/10). �Hope & Faith� ranked as TV�s No. 1 comedy on Friday in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49.

� �Hope & Faith� drew its second-largest audience (6.7 million) its highest Adult 18-49 rating (2.4/7) in 8 months � since 3/4/05.

�Hot Properties� (9:30-10:00 p.m.)

With solid retention of its lead-in, ABC�s �Hot Properties� earned second in the 9:30pm half-hour among Adults 18-34 (1.5/6-tie) and won its time period among Women 18-34 (2.2/7).

�20/20� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

ABC News� �20/20� took second place in the 10 o�clock hour in Total Viewers (8.3 million) and Adults 18-49 (2.8/9). The ABC newsmagazine won the hour, beating CBS� �Numbers,� among Women 18-34 (2.7/9) and Women 18-49 (3.7/11).

� In Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, �20/20� produced its top numbers in 4 weeks � since 10/7/05.

Saturday

The broadcast premiere of the theatrical �Catch Me If You Can� made ABC the No. 1 Network on Saturday night across each of the key adult demographics: AD18-34 (1.9/7), AD18-49 (2.2/7) and AD25-54 (2.6/7). Gaining audience during each half-hour throughout the night, the �ABC Saturday Movie of the Week� grew by 2.1 million viewers (6.0 million to 8.1 million) and 93% in Adults 18-49 (1.5/5 to 2.9/9) from beginning to end.

� The 2002 feature film generated ABC�s largest non-sports Saturday audience (7.1 million) and matched its top Adult 18-49 rating (2.2/7) on the night in 6 months � since 5/7/05.

� ABC�s delivery was up by 1.4 million viewers (7.1 million vs. 5.7 million) and by 5% among Adults 18-49 (2.2/7 vs. 2.1/7) over the same Saturday last November Sweep (11/6/04).

Sunday

For the seventh straight week, and on the first Sunday of the November Sweep, ABC ranked as the No. 1 network in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49. During primetime, ABC outpaced second-place CBS by 2.3 million viewers (17.8 million vs. 15.5 million) and by 63% in Adults 18-49 (7.5/18 vs. 4.6/11). ABC programs won each hour of the evening among Adults 18-49.

� Among Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, ABC posted its strongest opening Sunday to a November Sweep period in 6 years � since 1999.

� ABC aired the Top 3 television shows on Sunday in viewers and Adults 18-49, including �Desperate Housewives,� �Grey�s Anatomy� and �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,� respectively.

�Extreme Makeover: Home Edition � 7p� (7:00-8:00 p.m.)

Although it faced CBS� football overrun in the time period, a 7:00 p.m. installment of �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� won the opening hour of the night among Adults 18-49, beating CBS (4.3/12 vs. 3.2/12)

� �Home Edition� drew ABC�s largest audience (11.4 million) and highest Adult 18-49 rating (4.3/12), in the time period with regular programming since last November � since 11/28/04 and 11/7/04, respectively.

�Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

Jumping from its lead-in and growing its audience throughout its broadcast, ABC�s �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� posted a dominant victory in its hour, beating its nearest competitors by 1.5 million viewers (17.7 million vs. 16.2 million � CBS) and by 51% among Adults 18-49 (7.1/16 vs. 4.6/11 � Fox). The broad skewing ABC unscripted show also won its hour among Adults 25-54 (8.0/16), Adults 18-34 (5.7/15) and Kids 2-11 (4.5/14).

� �Home Edition� delivered the series� top numbers this season among viewers and young adults.

�Desperate Housewives� (9:00-10:01 p.m.)

The No. 1 show of the night, ABC�s �Desperate Housewives� overshadowed its competition in the 9 o�clock hour in viewers and young adults. The ABC sophomore series beat second-place CBS, with the opening hour of its miniseries, �Category 7: The End of the World,� by 8.4 million viewers (23.9 million vs. 15.5 million) and by 100% in Adults 18-49 (10.2/22 vs. 5.1/11).

�Grey�s Anatomy� (10:01-11:00 p.m.)

With best season retention of an original �Desperate Housewives� lead-in, �Grey�s Anatomy� posted a dominant victory in the 10 o�clock hour. The ABC sophomore drama beat out the second-place networks by 2.6 million viewers (18.1 million vs. 15.5 million � NBC�s �Law & Order: C.I.�) and by 67% in Adults 18-49 (8.2/20 vs. 4.9/12 � CBS� �Category 7�).

� �Grey�s Anatomy� posted its highest ratings of the season among Adults 18-34 (7.9/21) and across each of the key women demographics: W18-34 (11.3/28), W18-49 (11.6/26) and W25-54 (12.5/26).
