New York - November 10, 2005 - These days, who can escape the stream of emails featuring men dancing around their living rooms in chicken suits or Chinese students singing to The Backstreet Boys from their dorm room? They're funny, smart, addictive - and they're spreading. Viral videos infiltrate in-boxes all over the world on a daily basis and for the first time, Bravo will premiere these videos on television and take an unprecedented look at some of the funniest and wildest viral videos that up until now, have only been seen on your computer. "Outrageous and Contagious: Viral Videos" is a half-hour special that will premiere on Bravo, Thursday, November 17 at 11:00 PM ET/PT. The announcement was made today by Lauren Zalaznick, president of Bravo.

"The idea of 'viral videos' is really reaching critical mass and has become a new art form. We have now migrated this new generation of arts entertainment content that's on the web right over to Bravo in a filtered, fun, pop cultural 'Bravo' way," said Zalaznick. "These viral videos are sometimes funny, sometimes strange, but all somehow represent the eclectic, collective experience of the current state of entertainment these days. Bravo should be the first place people turn to watch these videos when they debut for the first time on television."

This half-hour special will feature the most popular video clips, bloopers and political statements taking over the internet today. The videos are contagious and folks can't get enough watching them, whether they are doing this at home or at work. Throughout the broadcast, Bravo viewers will be encouraged to email their favorite viral video to bravotv.com so that it can be shared with other avid fans of this genre.
