NOMINATIONS ARE ANNOUNCED FOR "THE 32ND ANNUAL PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS," TO BE BROADCAST JANUARY 10 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Will Smith, David Letterman, Jamie Foxx, Charlie Sheen, "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Criminal Minds," "Everybody Hates Chris," "How I Met Your Mother," "Everybody Loves Raymond," and "Survivor" Are Among the Nominees

The nominees for THE 32ND ANNUAL PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS were announced today by the show's host, Craig Ferguson ("The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson"), Jennifer Love Hewitt ("Ghost Whisperer") and Dominic Monaghan ("Lost") at a press conference at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. The winners will be revealed Tuesday, Jan. 10 (9:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Potential nominees for "The 32nd Annual People's Choice Awards" were compiled with the help of Knowledge Networks, a leading market research company. Knowledge Networks used its panel, which is the only web-based market research panel that is representative of the entire U.S. population, to identify a pop-culture-involved sample of men and women aged 18-54. For each category, the respondents were provided with a set of candidates determined by national ratings averages, box-office grosses and album sales. The respondents then chose their favorites in Television, Movies and Music. They also had the option to write-in their favorites when not included among the provided candidates. Their top three selections in each category became the final nominees.

A website gives dedicated fans the opportunity to vote for their choices in each category. Votes can be placed at www.pcavote.com starting today. Winners will be announced on the Jan. 10 broadcast. Media can also apply for credentials starting today at www.pcavote.com.
