REGIS PHILBIN RINGS IN 2006 ON "NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE" SATURDAY, DECEMBER 31, ON FOX

Legendary television personality Regis Philbin will stay up late to capture the energy and excitement from New York City's Times Square, the epicenter of the country's largest New Year's countdown celebration, on NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE airing Saturday, Dec. 31 (11:00 PM-12:30 AM ET Live/PT Tape-Delayed) on FOX.

America has celebrated mornings with Philbin on "Live with Regis and Kelly"; played along with him when he hosted the popular primetime program "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire"; and now it's now time to party late-night with Philbin to help ring in the New Year. When asked about hosting NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE on FOX, Philbin said, "I'm very happy to be asked to welcome in the New Year on TV. It's a once-a-year, one- of-a-kind show, and it's an honor to wish the country a Happy New Year."

FOX Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming and Specials Mike Darnell added: "Having a true New York icon like Regis ring in the New Year from Times Square is something we are already celebrating. He's a one-of-a-kind personality, and we're delighted he's on FOX."

As 2006 nears and the Big Apple swells with partygoers, Philbin will make his FOX network debut to host the late-night special, which will feature musical performances by today's hottest artists, celebrity interviews and a look back at 2005's most memorable moments in pop culture. The excitement will peak when the famed New Year's Eve Ball makes its descent in Times Square and the crowd erupts to welcome in 2006 and FOX's cameras will be there to capture the celebration.

NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE from Times Square is executive-produced by Phil Gurin of The Gurin Company.
