NICK CANNON, TYLER HILTON AND JOHN O'HURLEY HELP RING IN 2006 ALONG WITH CORRESPONDENT JILLIAN BARBERIE ON "NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE" SATURDAY, DEC. 31, ON FOX
Live Interviews with Carrie Underwood and Donald Trump
Film star, television personality and singing sensation Nick Cannon ("Drumline"), heartthrob Tyler Hilton ("Walk the Line") and funnyman John O'Hurley ("Dancing with the Stars") will make live appearances at the epicenter of America's greatest New Year's celebration in New York City's illustrious Times Square on NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE airing Saturday, Dec. 31 (11:00 PM-12:30 AM Live ET/Tape-Delayed PT, MT, CT) on FOX.
Jillian Barberie (FOX's SKATING WITH CELEBRITIES, FOX NFL SUNDAY) joins previously announced host Regis Philbin as a special New Year's Eve correspondent and will hit Times Square's rowdy streets to provide spirited commentary live from the party's frontlines.
The New Year's Eve party will also feature live interviews with real-estate-mogul-turned-reality-TV-star Donald Trump ("The Apprentice") and AMERICAN IDOL winner Carrie Underwood. In addition to conducting celebrity interviews, in a first for New Year's Eve TV, Philbin will lead the enormous celebratory crowd in a festive sing-along.
As 2006 nears and the Big Apple swells with partygoers, Philbin makes his FOX network debut to host the once-a-year special, which will feature musical performances, additional celebrity interviews and a look back at 2005's most memorable moments in pop culture. The excitement will peak when the famed New Year's Eve Ball makes its descent in Times Square and the crowd erupts to welcome in 2006 - with FOX's cameras there to capture the celebration.
NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE from Times Square is executive-produced by Phil Gurin of The Gurin Company.
