NEW YORK - January 4, 2006 - Bravo's one-hour documentary special, "Project Jay," will follow Jay McCarroll, the winner of the first season of the Emmy-nominated series "Project Runway," as he moves to New York from his rural Pennsylvania town and starts working on and marketing his very own fashion line. "Project Jay" will chronicle the start of a new chapter in this zany designer's life and reveal the man behind the fabric as his career and life unfold in the months after he's crowned the winner of "Project Runway." "Project Jay" premieres Wednesday, February 22 at 10:00 PM ET/PT.

"Jay McCarroll is a perfect example of the unique and captivating personalities that Bravo has a reputation for uncovering with shows like 'Project Runway'," said Lauren Zalaznick, President of Bravo. "Viewers will share Jay's journey as he takes on the merciless world of fashion through 'Project Jay'."

The colorful, witty and unpredictable designer from the rural Pennsylvania town of Lehman captured America's attention with his powerful designs and off-the-wall personality. This documentary will give "Project Runway" fans the opportunity to catch up with Jay and discover more about this fascinating guy as he enters the ruthless fashion business and makes New York City home. The special will travel to Jay's tiny hometown to meet his family and cover the start of a long journey as he packs his pick-up truck for a life changing relocation. The special will show the escapades that follow Heidi Klum's request that Jay design her gown for the Emmys, where she plans to take her first steps back on the red carpet after giving birth. "Project Jay" will follow his desperate search for affordable space in the city, both to live in and to create fashion masterpieces. Throughout the documentary, viewers will see Jay's attempt to create his new fashion line and make it truly meaningful and inspired.
