REALITY HIT IMPROVES OVER ITS SECOND SUMMER EPISODE BY +25% IN PERSONS 12-34, +10% IN ADULTS 18-34 AND +67% IN TEENS

�GEEK� ACHIEVES SECOND-HIGHEST TIME PERIOD RATINGS OF THE SEASON FOR THE WB

�SMALLVILLE� WINS ITS TIME PERIOD AMONG MEN 12-34 AND IS #2 IN MEN 18-34, WHILE IMPROVING ITS TIME PERIOD COMPARED TO THE PARALLEL WEEK LAST YEAR +25% IN PERSONS 12-34, +33% IN ADULTS 18-34 AND +40% IN ADULTS 18-49

The WB's reality hit BEAUTY AND THE GEEK is continuing to build on its successful summer run. BEAUTY AND THE GEEK'S second episode from its second season improved on its second episode of the summer in several key demos including by +25% in persons 12-34 (2.5/7), +10% in adults 18-34 (2.3/6), +11% in adults 18-49 (2.0/5), +67% in teens and +12% in total viewers (4.2 million).

BEAUTY AND THE GEEK, a social experiment from the minds of Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg, also has been a boon to The WB's Thursday 9:00-10:00 p.m. time period, giving the network its second-highest ratings this season, which set several network historic records - behind only its premiere last week - in all 12-34, 18-34 and 18-49 demos.

BEAUTY AND THE GEEK retained its entire SMALLVILLE lead-in in persons 12-34 and came within a tenth of a ratings point of The WB's highest-rated show in adults 18-34 and adults 18-49, while building on its lead-in in teens and all female demos.

SMALLVILLE, one of the season's greatest success story, won its time period, placing #1 in men 12-34 (2.8/9) and was #2 in men 18-34 (2.5/8). SMALLVILLE also improved its time period compared to the parallel week last season +25% in persons 12-34 (2.5/8), +33% in adults 18-34 (2.4/7), +40% in adults 18-49 (2.1/6) and +30% in total viewers (4.9 million).

For the night The WB placed #2 in men 12-34 (2.6/8) and improved compared to the parallel week last year in many demos, including +33% in adults 18-34 (2.4/7).
