STAGE AND SCREEN ACTORS REBECCA DE MORNAY AND BETTY BUCKLEY GUEST-STAR ON NBC'S 'LAW & ORDER: SVU' ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7, (10-11 PM. ET)
NEW YORK �- February 1, 2006 �- Stage and screen actors Rebecca De Mornay and Betty Buckley and will guest star on NBC's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," Tuesday, February 7th at 10 PM ET.
When the body of a young woman is found murdered in her apartment, Detectives Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stabler (Chris Meloni) discover she's a successful attorney and a stripper in her spare time. Her boss, attorney Tessa McKellen, played by De Mornay, becomes a suspect when tape from a student crew filming the night of the murder reveals the victim was with Tessa's husband Linus (Chris Potter). Linus' DNA was found in both the victim and her friend a fellow stripper who is also found murdered.
The situation is further complicated by Tessa's illness that keeps her tied to her wheelchair and to her husband who is also a prime suspect. The case takes some unusual turns as new information about the sympathetic, but devious McKellen is revealed.
Buckley plays attorney Collette Walsh who represents McKellen, played by DeMornay.
Buckley's film credits include "Vinegar Hills," "The Jury," and the classic thriller "Carrie." On the small screen, Buckley appeared in "Oz," which also starred SVU cast member Chris Meloni, "Monk" and the classic TV series, "Eight Is Enough."
De Mornay's credits include: "Wedding Crashers," Lords of Dogtown,"
"The Hand that Rocks The Cradle," and the classic movie "Risky Business." On the small screen, De Mornay has appeared on "ER," "The Practice," and "Boomtown."
Dann Florek, Richard Belzer, Ice-T, B.D. Wong, Diane Neal and Tamara Tunie also star in "Law & Order: SVU."
