GLAXO SMITH KLINE TO SPONSOR BLACK HISTORY MONTH VIGNETTES ON CBS PRIME TIME THROUGH FEBRUARY

30 Second Spots Will Highlight Achievements in Science and Innovation by Notable African-Americans

GlaxoSmithKline, one of the world�s largest pharmaceutical research companies, has signed on to sponsor a series of vignettes throughout Black History Month highlighting the achievements of African-Americans in science and innovation. Throughout the month, 10 distinguished leaders in these fields will be profiled in the 30-second spots, which will air on CBS prime time starting Friday, Feb. 10.

Among those featured will be:

Benjamin Banneker (Friday, Feb. 10 during �Ghost Whisperer,� 8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT)

Dr. Charles Drew (Sunday, Feb. 12 during �60 Minutes,� 7:00-8:00 PM, ET/PT)

Garrett Morgan (Monday, Feb. 13 during �CSI: Miami,� 10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT)

Dr. Ron McNair (Tuesday, Feb. 14 during �Price is Right Special,� 8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT)

Dr. Mark Dean (Wednesday, Feb. 15 during �CSI: NY� 10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT)

George Washington Carver (Saturday, Feb. 18 during �NCIS,� 8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT)

Frederick McKinley Jones (Sunday, Feb. 19 during �60 Minutes,� 7:00-8:00 PM, ET/PT)

Dr. Benjamin Carson (Wednesday, Feb. 22 during �CSI: NY,� 10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT)
