Cartoon Network Original Squirrel Boy Scheduled for July Debut

Cartoon Network Studios Production Created by Everett Peck

Squirrel Boy, Cartoon Networks original series about a boy and his screwy squirrel pal, is set to debut in July. Created and executive-produced by Everett Peck, 13 half-hour episodes are being produced at Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank, Calif.

Squirrel Boy tells the classic tale of a squirrel and his boy. Ten-year-old Andys best friend and pet is Rodney, a know-it-all squirrel with a lot of big ideas. These two partners in crime lead each other into all sorts of adventures in Andys backyard and throughout the neighborhood. Their hi-jinks make Andys dad want to kick the oblivious Rodney out on his furry tail. Joining them on some of their adventures is Rodneys best squirrel buddy, Leon, who prefers the call of the wild to Rodneys life as a kept squirrel.

Veteran voice actors will bring the characters to life, including Richard Horvitz as Rodney J. Squirrel, Pamela S. Adlon as Andy Johnson, Kurtwood Smith (Red in That 70s Show) as Andys father and Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants) as Leon.

Cartoon Network Studios is a state-of-the-art production facility that develops and produces original animated entertainment exclusively for Cartoon Network, the top-rated, 24-hour ad-supported cable service offering the best in animated entertainment.
