LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Two veteran series got pink slips over the weekend as CBS's "Yes, Dear" and the WB's "Charmed" won't be returning for the 2006-07 season.
The Washington Post's Lisa de Moraes broke the former news (read the story) while TV Guide's Michael Ausiello (read the story) was the first to report the latter.
"It's been a hell of a run," "Charmed" executive producer Brad Kern told Ausiello, "but all good things must come to an end." The show's series finale - after eight seasons on the network - is currently scheduled for Sunday, May 21 at 8:00/7:00c.
As for "Yes, Dear," the six season vet quietly wrapped its run last month. Co-star Anthony Clark however has already found a new gig as the host of NBC's revived "Last Comic Standing."
