[via press release from The Hallmark Channel]

MURDER RIDES INTO TOWN IN MYSTERY WOMAN WILD WEST MYSTERY, STARRING KELLIE MARTIN MARCH 18

Bruce Boxleitner and Barbara Niven Guest Star

When former TV star Clint Taylor (Bruce Boxleitner, Babylon 5) brings his Wild West show into town, murder becomes the featured attraction for bookstore owner Samantha Kinsey (Kellie Martin) in Mystery Woman Wild West Mystery, the Hallmark Channel Mystery Movie premiering Saturday, March 18 (9/8c).

Mystery Woman also stars Nina Siemaszko (The West Wing) as assistant district attorney Cassie Hillman; Clarence Williams III (Mod Squad) as former spy Philby; and Casey Sander (Grace Under Fire) as Chief Connors. Boxleitner and Barbara Niven (Pensacola: Wings of Gold) head the guest cast. Samantha is chairperson this year of Waldens annual Wild West Days and its quite a coup bringing the ruggedly handsome Taylor and his band of cowboys into town for the event. The actor hasnt been in the limelight for years, but with a big comeback movie in the works he has gathered together much of the cast of his old TV show for his arena extravaganza. After Taylor stages an accident for publicity, Samantha learns this is not one big happy family. Taylor has double-crossed every one of his colleagues some time in the past, but they are all hoping his movie will revive their moribund careers. That dream could crumble when somebody shoots Taylors stand-in during a performance. Samantha calls upon her friends, Cassie and Philby, to help her find out which cowpoke pulled the trigger and why.

Boxleitner has starred on the series Babylon 5, Scarecrow and Mrs. King and Young Blades, and in the Hallmark Channel Original movie Falling in Love with the Girl Next Door, among his many credits. Barbara Niven, who starred in the series Pensacola: Wings of Gold and One Life to Live and recently starred in the Hallmark Channel Original movie Back to You and Me, guest stars as ageless beauty Annie Boone, Taylors former TV co-star and girlfriend. Although Taylor heartlessly dumped Annie from both the series and his life years before, Annie is appearing as a sharpshooter in his arena show based on his promise to make her the leading lady of his movie.

The guest cast also includes Charles Dierkop, (Angie Dickensons co-star in the classic television series Police Woman) as a crusty stunt man; veteran screen villain Wings Hauser (recently seen in the feature film Vendetta: No Conscience, No Mercy and the miniseries Kingpin) as an embittered veteran screen villain; Jason Brooks, (a hunky lifeguard on Baywatch Hawaii and a charming cad on Days of Our Lives) as the shows ex-con road manager; and Joe Stevens (featured in The Alamo, Lone Star and American Outlaws) as Walkers right hand man, stunt double and all around patsy. Barry Livingston, recently seen in First Daughter but better known to boomers as the fourth son in My Three Sons and the neighborhood kid on The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet, plays Philbys friend and former colleague, now running the towns box and ship store.

Mystery Woman was created by Michael Sloan. Joyce Burditt, creator of the acclaimed series Diagnosis Murder, is executive producer and writer for the franchise. Mystery Woman Wild West Days was written by Joyce Burditt & Paul Burditt and directed by David S. Cass Sr.

Mystery Woman is an RHI Entertainment presentation. Robert Halmi, Jr. and Larry Levinson are executive producers. Nick Lombardo and Michael Moran are coexecutive producers.
