Award-Winning Actor Parker Posey to Guest-Star on ABC's "Boston Legal"

AWARD-WINNING ACTOR PARKER POSEY TO GUEST-STAR ON ABC�S �BOSTON LEGAL�

Award-winning actor Parker Posey will guest-star in a three-episode arc of �Boston Legal,� it was announced today. Posey will play Marlene Stanger, a recent transfer from another firm and a blackberry-carrying politico looking to make partner. She�s also known as �The Squid,� as it is the only animal in popular mythology that can kill a shark.

Posey received an Independent Spirit Award nomination as Lead Actress for her work in Rebecca Miller�s �Personal Velocity,� as well as a Golden Globe nomination for her work opposite Shirley MacLaine in the CBS film �Hell on Heels: The Battle of Mary Kay.� For her performance in �The House of Yes,� she received a Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. This summer she has a starring role in �Superman Returns,� in which she plays �Kitty,� Lex Luthor�s partner-in-crime. Other upcoming films include �The Oh in Ohio,� opposite Paul Rudd and Danny De Vito, Christopher Guest�s �For Your Consideration� and Hal Hartley�s �Fay Grim.�

Led by an Emmy Award-winning cast, �Boston Legal� tells the professional and personal stories of a group of brilliant but often emotionally challenged attorneys. Fast-paced and darkly comedic, the series confronts social and moral issues, while its characters continually stretch the boundaries of the law.

Boston Legal� stars James Spader as Alan Shore, Julie Bowen as Denise Bauer, Mark Valley as Brad Chase, Rene Auberjonois as Paul Lewiston, with Candice Bergen as Shirley Schmidt and William Shatner as Denny Crane.
