Hit Entertainment Newsmagazine Moving to Access Time Periods in Numerous Top 50 Markets Next Season

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. -- April 10, 2006 -- NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution's hit entertainment newsmagazine "Access Hollywood" is being upgraded in numerous top 50 markets across the country for the upcoming 2006-2007 television season, it was announced today by Sean O'Boyle, Senior Vice President & General Sales Manager, NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution.

Starting this September, "Access Hollywood" will move to upgraded time periods on the Fox Owned and Operated stations in Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, Detroit and Minneapolis. Other top 50 market upgrades for the new season include CBS affiliate WIVB-TV Buffalo and NBC affiliate WOOD-TV Grand Rapids. "Access Hollywood," which will enter its 11th season in national syndication this fall, is renewed in more than 95% of the U.S. for the 2006-2007-television season. Beginning next season, NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution will be handling all advertising and media sales for "Access Hollywood."

'Access Hollywood" continues to be the top-rated entertainment newsmagazine in the nation's top markets, currently is the youngest skewing first-run show of any prime access TV program and has the highest median income of any show in national syndication. The show is up across the board in its national ratings, averaging close to 3.5 million viewers and more than one million women 25-54 (up 13% over last year) per episode, according to Nielsen Media Research Data.
