ComedyCentral.com To Launch "Movies On ComedyCentral.com," The Ultimate Comedy Movie Database And So Much More

Log-On To www.comedycentral.com/movies/ On Wednesday, May 3 And Surf The Definitive Comedy Movie Portal

NEW YORK, May 1, 2006 -- What year was "Caddyshack" released and did it win any awards? Who are the "Top 5 Dumb Blonde Actors" of all-time and do any of them have a movie coming out this summer? What's the connection between "Old School" and "Animal House?" Beginning Wednesday, May 3, these questions and more can now be answered by a click or two of the mouse thanks to "Movies On comedycentral.com" (www.comedycentral.com/movies/), the most comprehensive online database for comedy movies, it was announced today by Beth Lewand, vice president, digital media, COMEDY CENTRAL.

"Movies On comedycentral.com," will be the premiere web destination and resource for users to visit for all things having to do with comedy movies, both current and classic, highlighted by a movie database that spans over 30 years of films. The site features commentary, reviews, polls and quizzes, exclusive video content and footage from the sets of today's hottest movies and much, much more. In addition, "Movies On comedycentral.com" will connect the current comedy scene to the classics of yesterday and engage users by examining recurring themes and bios and highlighting the historical connections between the new and the old. This encourages users to dig deeper into the site and discover comic facts and parallels that they never knew existed. This will be a fun, snarky romp through the deeper database of comedy movies past.

Not just a clearinghouse for information on celluloid comedy, the site will be updated daily with inimitable COMEDY CENTRAL commentary including the latest news from the entertainment world and current COMEDY CENTRAL content such as celebrity interviews from "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" or David Spade's ("The Showbiz Show") take on the weeks entertainment gossip. Also included are editorials that will riff on the latest gossip items and upcoming movie releases and provide users with one-click links to existing bios or related film information in the comedycentral.com database.

In addition to daily editorial content, "Movies On comedycentral.com" will contain the following features:

 Polls and Quizzes

Funny Searches in the Comedy Movie database (i.e. Top 5 Dumb Blonde Male Actors)

 Custom Movie Awards

 Proprietary Genres and Themes
