[via press release from The CW]

THE CW AND SINCLAIR BROADCAST GROUP, INC. ANNOUNCE LONG-TERM AFFILIATION AGREEMENTS

Minneapolis, Baltimore, Raleigh, Nashville, Milwaukee, Birmingham, Oklahoma City and Las Vegas Are The Latest Markets To Be Served By The CW

America's Fifth Broadcast Network Increases National Coverage To More Than 90% Of The Country

The CWs Growing Station Line-Up Now Includes The 40 Largest Markets In The U.S.

The CW and Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: SBGI) announced today the signing of long-term affiliation agreements for Sinclairs television stations in Minneapolis, Baltimore, Raleigh, Nashville, Milwaukee, Oklahoma City and Las Vegas.

The addition of these eight Sinclair stations increases The CWs national coverage to more than 90% of the country, including 20 of the Top 20 markets and 40 of the Top 40.

The newly signed affiliates are:

* KMWB Minneapolis, MN (DMA rank 15).

* WNUV Baltimore, MD (DMA rank 24).

* WLFL Raleigh-Durham (Fayetteville), NC (DMA rank 29).

* WNAB Nashville, TN (DMA rank 30).

* WVTV Milwaukee, WI (DMA rank 33).

* WTTO & WDBB Birmingham-Tuscaloosa, AL; simulcast on WDBB (DMA rank 40).

* KOCB Oklahoma City, OK (DMA rank 45).

* KFBT Las Vegas (DMA rank 48).

All of these stations are currently affiliates of The WB, with the exception of KFBT, which is an independent station. Sinclair operates WNUV and WDBB under a Local Marketing Agreement. Sinclair provides sales and other non-programming related services for WNAB under an Outsourcing Agreement; the station is owned by Lambert Broadcasting, LLC.

Were very pleased to add our stations in these markets to The CWs affiliate family, said David Smith, President and CEO of Sinclair Broadcast Group. A primetime schedule that includes the most popular programming currently on The WB and UPN networks gives us an important sales and marketing advantage. Since almost all of these stations are WB affiliates, over the years weve developed a strong rapport with key WB executives who are also part of The CWs management team. Going forward, that will help us as we maximize the value of our CW affiliations.

John Maatta, Chief Operating Officer, The CW, said: We are thrilled to continue to be in business with David Smith and Sinclair Broadcast Group, building on an association we began when seven of these stations were affiliated with The WB. The addition of these key markets puts The CW at more than 90% total U.S. coverage and secures our clearance in the countrys 40 largest DMAs. These WB Sinclair stations were all top performers, with KOCB the #1 ranked WB affiliate. That gives us an outstanding launching pad for The CW in these markets. We look forward to working with David and his talented team as we grow The CW together.

On January 24, CBS Corporation and Warner Bros. Entertainment announced their intent to form a new 5th network, The CW, to be launched in the fall of 2006. The new broadcasting network will be a joint venture between Warner Bros. Entertainment and CBS Corporation, with each company owning 50%.

In an important strategic move that secures major market distribution for The CW, it was also announced on January 24th that Tribune Broadcasting and the CBS Corporation's UPN affiliates have agreed separately to sign 10-year affiliation agreements with the new network. The combination of Tribune's 16 major market stations (New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Dallas, Washington, D.C., Houston, Miami, Denver, St. Louis, Portland, Indianapolis, San Diego, Hartford, New Orleans and Albany) and the 11 CBS-owned UPN major market affiliates (Philadelphia, San Francisco, Atlanta, Detroit, Tampa, Seattle, Sacramento, Pittsburgh, West Palm Beach, Norfolk and Providence) cover the top 13 television markets, 20 of the top 25 television markets and have a total coverage area of more than 47% of the country.

The CW will incorporate The WB's current scheduling model, which consists of a 6 night-13 hour primetime lineup including Monday through Friday nights from 8-10 (EST/PST); Sundays from 7-10 (EST/PST); Sunday from 5-7 (EST/PST) outside of primetime as well as a Monday thru Friday afternoon block from 3-5 (EST/PST) and a 5-hour Saturday morning animation block. Together, the network will program 30 hours a week over seven days for its affiliated stations.
