Through the First 11 Days of the May Sweep, CBS is First in Viewers, Adults 25-54 and a Just -0.1 Rating Point From First in Adults 18-49

CBS extended its viewer winning streak to eight weeks as the network delivered another dominating Thursday performance behind SURVIVOR: PANAMA, CSI (the week's top scripted program) and WITHOUT A TRACE as well as a strong Friday paced by the best ratings since March for the finale of GHOST WHISPERER, according to Live Plus Same Day Nielsen ratings for the week ending May 7, week 33 of the 2005-2006 television season.

Through the first 11 days of the May sweep, CBS is first in viewers (12.74m) and adults 25-54 (4.6/12) and is second in adults 18-49 (3.6/10), just -0.1 rating point behind FOX.

For the week in viewers, CBS (12.31m) topped FOX (10.73m), NBC (8.92m) and ABC (8.66m). Season-to-date, CBS (12.61m) leads, followed by ABC (10.87m), FOX (9.85m) and NBC (9.73m).

For the week in households, CBS (8.0/13) was +23% ahead of FOX (6.5/11), +33% ahead of NBC (6.0/10) and +45% ahead of ABC (5.5/09). Season-to-date, CBS is first in households (8.2/13), outpacing ABC by +19% (6.9/11), NBC by +28% (6.4/10) and FOX by +37% (6.0/10).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was second in adults 25-54 (4.6/12. -0.1 behind FOX) and adults 18-49 (3.6/10). Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (4.8/12) and a strong third in adults 18-49 (3.8/10, just -0.2 behind both FOX and ABC).

� SURVIVOR: PANAMA -- EXILE ISLAND was first in households (9.9/1717), viewers (17.04m), adults 25-54 (7.1/19), adults 18-49 (5.9/18) and adults 18-34 (3.8/13).

� CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in households (16.2/25), viewers (26.05m), adults 25-54 (10.5/25), adults 18-49 (8.3/22) and adults 18-34 (6.2/18). CSI beat NBC, ABC, FOX, WB and UPN combined in viewers (vs. 25.91m, +1%); NBC, ABC and FOX combined in adults 25-54 (vs. 9.1/22, +15%); and topped NBC and ABC combined in adults 18-49 (vs. 6.5/17, +28%).

� WITHOUT A TRACE was first in households (12.8/21), viewers (19.11m), adults 25-54 (7.2/18), adults 18-49 (5.8/16) and adults 18-34 (4.3/13). WITHOUT A TRACE topped "ER" on NBC by +62% in households (vs. 7.9/13), +20% in adults 25-54 (vs. 6.0/15), +14% in adults 18-49 (vs. 5.1/14), +5% in adults 18-34 (vs. 4.1/13) and over +7.25 million viewers (vs. 11.78m, +7.33m or +62%).

� GHOST WHISPERER was first in adults 25-54 (4.4/14), second in households (7.2/14), viewers (11.06m) and adults 18-49 (3.2/12, -0.2 behind NBC). This is GHOST WHISPERER's best delivery in households, viewers and adults 25-54 since 3/3/06 and best adults 18-49 delivery since 3/10/06. .

� CLOSE TO HOME was first in households (7.3/13), viewers (11.17m), adults 25-54 (4.0/11) and adults 18-49 (2.8/09).

� NUMB3RS was first in households (7.9/14), viewers (12.01m), adults 25-54 (4.6/13) and adults 18-49 (3.2/10). NUMB3RS was first for the 27th time this season in viewers and adults 25-54, 26th time in households and 22nd time in adults 18-49 (in 29 broadcasts).

� CRIMINAL MINDS (8.1/12, 12.17m) finished in its best competitive position to a first run "Lost" in adults 25-54 (4.5/10 vs. 7.4/16, -2.9), adults 18-49 (3.5/08 vs. 6.4/15, -2.9) and adults 18-34 (2.1/06 vs. 5.3/15, -3.2). This is the first time CRIMINAL MINDS trailed a first-run "Lost" by less than three full rating points in both adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. In their first head-to-head broadcast (9/28/05), CRIMINAL MINDS trailed "Lost" by -7.3 rating points in adults 25-54, -6.4 in adults 18-49, -5.5 in adults 18-34 and by -12.56m viewers.

� CSI: MIAMI won its time period in households (12.5/20), viewers (19.31m), adults 25-54 (7.8/18), adults 18-49 (6.2/15) and adults 18-34 (4.4/12). CSI: MIAMI beat NBC and ABC combined in households (vs. 11.2/18, +12%), viewers (vs. 16.19m, +19%), adults 25-54 (vs. 7.7/18, +1%) and competitive with the competition combined in adults 18-49 (vs. 6.5/16).

� NCIS was second in households (9.7/15), viewers (14.95m), adults 25-54 (4.7/12) and adults 18-49 (3.3/09). NCIS beat NBC and ABC combined in households (vs. 5.5/09, +76%), viewers (vs. 7.96m, +88%), adults 25-54 (vs. 3.2/08, +47%) and adults 18-49 (vs. 2.8/08, +18%).

� THE UNIT was second in households (9.1/14), viewers (14.06m), adults 25-54 (5.2/12) and adults 18-49 (3.7/09). THE UNIT built on its NCIS lead by +11% in adults 25-54 and +12% in adults 18-49.

� CSI: NY was first in households (9.7/16), viewers (14.68m), adults 25-54 (5.9/14), adults 18-49 (4.9/13) and adults 18-34 (3.4/10).

� COLD CASE was first in households (9.3/15), viewers (14.61m), second in adults 25-54 (4.7/11). This is COLD CASE's best delivery in households, viewers, adults 18-49 (3.4/09) and adults 25-54 since 3/26/06.
