Get Ready for Some Kung Fu Kicking Fun When ABC Family Premieres 'Karate Dog' Monday, May 29

GET READY FOR SOME KUNG FU KICKING FUN WHEN ABC FAMILY PREMIERES �KARATE DOG� MONDAY, MAY 29

Burbank, CA (May 1, 2006) - The original movie KARATE DOG, a canine comical caper that will have you howling with laughter, premieres Monday, May 29 (7:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on ABC Family. The human cast is top dog - Chevy Chase, Jon Voight, Simon Rex, Jaime Pressly and the late Pat Morita.

Cho Cho (voiced by Chase), a wisecracking pooch, partners with the bumbling computer geek detective Peter Fowler (Rex) to solve his Zen master�s (Morita) murder. Proving not to be your run of the mill, Cho Cho unleashes his unconventional canine capabilities including the ability to talk and an expertise in martial arts. As the sole eye witness of his master's murder, Cho Cho is an essential piece of the puzzle, but no one knows he can talk except Fowler. The unlikely duo stumbles upon a biochemical maniac, Hamilton Cage (Voight), and his quest to find eternal youth. While fighting for their lives and the safety of the world as we know it, Fowler still finds the time to fall for the beautiful yet tough female officer, Ashley Wilkens (Pressly).

KARATE DOG was directed by Bob Clark (�A Christmas Story�). The screenplay was written by Steven Paul (�Baby Geniuses 1 & 2�) as well as Gregory Poppen (�SuperBabies: Baby Geniuses 2�). The film is produced by Crystal Sky Worldwide and Hador/Apollo Media.
