Updated Online Poll Results to be Revealed Throughout Tonight's Rebroadcast
NEW YORK -� June 16, 2006 -- After millions of Americans tuned into Matt Lauer's exclusive interview with pop star, Britney Spears, "Dateline NBC" has decided to hit its viewers "one more time" with an encore presentation, airing tonight, June 16, at 8:00 PM/ET. In addition, nearly 100,000 online users voted on "Dateline's" Britney Spears/Paparazzi online poll, available on MSNBC.com. According to preliminary "fast affiliate-based" live plus same day viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research, almost nine million viewers tuned in last night. "Dateline" was Thursday's #1 non-sports telecast in adults 18-49 and other key demographics.
In the online poll, "Dateline" asks: "When it comes to Britney Spears, have the paparazzi gone too far?" So far 81% of the voters said "yes," and "Dateline" will continue to update viewers with poll results throughout tonight's show. Additionally, MSNBC.com has established a message board for sympathizers and critics to debate whether Britney made a good or bad move in speaking out.
