CBS Pulls 'Tuesday Night Book Club' After Two Weeks

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- CBS is benching its summer newcomer "Tuesday Night Book Club" for at least two weeks, scheduling updates released by the network confirmed this morning.
A repeat of "48 Hours Mystery" will fill the Tuesday, 10:00/9:00c hour on June 27 with the "Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular" airing on July 4.
It's not clear if "Book Club" will return on July 11, the same night "Big Brother" and "Rock Star" launch their Tuesday editions this season.
A lackluster 5.07 million viewers tuned into "Club's" premiere on June 13 while an estimated 4.13 million watched its second broadcast earlier this week. Both numbers fell short of its "The Unit" repeat lead-in (7.45 million on June 13 and 6.37 million on June 20).
