MTV Networks And Nick Cannon Sign Exclusive First Look Production Deal

Nick Cannon Presents Wild N Out Returns To MTV

For Another Season Of Unpredictable Comedy

On August 10th At 10pm Et/Pt

August 8, 2006 - New York, NY MTV Music Television announced that it has signed an exclusive first look production deal with Nick Cannon. Cannons partnership with MTV will allow him to develop, produce, consult and appear on potential MTV branded programming. In addition, the network announced that the successful sketch comedy/improv series Nick Cannon Presents Wild N Out returns for a third season on Thursday, August 10th at 10pm ET/PT. The announcement follows the success of the hit improv sketch comedy show, Nick Cannon Presents Wild N Out. Since the shows initial debut last year, Wild N Out has garnered some of the highest ratings in its time slot to date.

"Nick Cannon is one of today's freshest and most innovative young talents," said Tony DiSanto, Executive Vice President, Series Development and Animation for MTV. "His creative vision and tireless pursuit of excellence on both sides of the camera puts him in a class of his own. We are truly excited to grow our partnership with him and anticipate a long relationship and a bunch of great shows."

I am thrilled and honored to have the opportunity to work with such a respectful and reputable network as MTV, says Nick Cannon. They understand and respect my creative vision, not only as an entertainer, but as a business executive. I am very much looking forward to the continuation of our close partnership, which will produce more quality programs in television, in addition to big picture films.

In the third season Nick Cannon Presents Wild N Out will continue to feature two teams of hot, up-and-coming comics who go head-to-head in a series of improv battles. Each week Cannons team will challenge a celebrity guest and their team to a fast-paced war of words and wit. The show combines the best elements of classic comedy series hilarious improv, topical sketch comedy and performances from fledgling comedians eager to make their mark in the genre with an urban feel that Cannons fans have come to expect from his film and TV projects. Some celebrities featured in the new season will include: Big Boi from Outkast, Fat Joe, Lil Jon, Method Man, Jamie Kennedy, Pharrell and more.

Nick Cannons rapid rise to success in film and television has had its monumental peaks, which include Nickelodeons award-winning The Nick Cannon Show, along with a breakout role in the 2002 movie Drumline. Since then, his well-rounded performances have further matured, establishing him as one of the most sought after entertainer in the industry. Named by People Magazine as one of the Top Ten Most Successful People in Young Hollywood, Cannon can currently be heard as the voice of one of the characters in the animated film, Monster House and looks forward to the release of two other movies this year, Weapons and the highly anticipated RFK biopic Bobby.

Tony DiBari and Karen Frank serve as MTVs Executive Producers for Nick Cannon Presents Wild N Out. Rod Aissa is the Senior Vice President of Talent Development. Adam Freeman and Michael Goldman also serve as Executive Producers. Nick Cannon is the creator and Executive Producer of Wild N Out.
