SOAPNET SURPASSES 51 MILLION HOUSEHOLDS

Distribution Up Double Digits From A Year Ago Marking the Fifth Consecutive Year of Double Digit Growth

SOAPnet announced today that the 24-hour soap channel surpassed the 51 million household subscriber milestone. According to the latest figures from Nielsen Media Research, the network is in 51,182,000 homes as of August 2006 representing a distribution gain of more than +17% over August 2005, marking the fifth consecutive year of double digit growth.

Our affiliates continue to find SOAPnet a strong addition to their lineups, and we are thrilled to reach this milestone, said Deborah Blackwell, General Manager, SOAPnet. SOAPnet has always been popular with advertisers, and this added distribution will only strengthen our appeal. We look forward to continued momentum throughout 2006, as we add more original programming and acquired soaps to our network.

In addition to steady distribution growth, SOAPnet ranks #9 (0.5) with women 18-49 in its prime among all basic cable networks calendar year to date and has been ranked #1 in viewer loyalty for the past 25 months. Most recently, SOAPnet broke ratings records with the premiere of the third season of its hit reality series, I Wanna Be A Soap Star, and added same-day airing rights to the popular CBS Daytime soap, The Young and the Restless.

SOAPnet, the new way to watch soaps, offers same-day episodes of popular daytime dramas including "All My Children," "Days of our Lives," "One Life To Live," "General Hospital" and "The Young and the Restless" at night for convenient viewing. In addition, the network provides inside access to stars and storylines with original programs, including the Emmy-nominated one-hour talk show, "Soap Talk," the biography show "Soapography," "1 Day With..." and the reality series "I Wanna Be A Soap Star." Wrapped in a 24-hour environment, SOAPnet also offers primetime classics including "Melrose Place," "Beverly Hills 90210" and "Dallas" as well as former daytime series "Port Charles," "Ryan's Hope," and "Another World." SOAPnet is part of Disney ABC Cable Networks Group, and is managed by Disney-ABC Television Group, a division of The Walt Disney Company.
