Adult Swim Still Growing Total Day Young Adult Delivery: #1 Among Adults 18-34, Adults 18-24, Men 18-24�76 Straight Weeks
Charts More Programs in the Adults 18-34 Top 50 for the Week Than Any Other Ad-Supported Cable Network
Adult Swim continues to improve upon its record-setting performance last year by growing total day young adult delivery across the board, again ranking #1 among ad-supported cable with adults 18-34, adults 18-24 and men 18-24 (76 straight weeks), according to preliminary data from Nielsen Media Research. Only ESPN outperformed Adult Swim among men 18-34. The late-night network also ranked #3 for total day delivery of adults 18-49, and claimed 10 of the top 50 programs of the week among adults 18-34, more than any other basic cable network.
Highlights of Adult Swim�s performance last week vs. the same 2005 time period include the following:
ADULT SWIM (Monday-Thursday, 10:30 p.m.-6 a.m.; Saturday, 11 p.m.-6 a.m.; Sunday, 10 p.m.-6 a.m.)
- Adults 18-34 delivery (398,000) increased by 2%, and ratings (0.6) remained unchanged
- Adults 18-24 delivery (259,000) expanded by 12%, and ratings (0.9) by 13%
- Men 18-24 delivery (162,000) advanced by 8%, and ratings (1.1) remained unchanged
- Women 18-34 delivery (156,000) improved by 8%, and ratings (0.5) by 25%
- Women 18-24 delivery (97,000) grew by 20%, and ratings (0.7) by 17%
Adult Swim (AdultSwim.com), launched in 2001, is Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.�s network offering original and acquired animated comedy and action series for young adults.
