WE tv Premieres Three Originals in October

New One-Hour Special Hollywood Hair Affair to Premiere October 9th

New York, NY, September 12, 2006 - WE tv announced today that the network has added the new one-hour original special Hollywood Hair Affair to its programming line-up for October. The special joins two other original programs premiering in the month of October, series Hair Trauma and special Ghost Moms. WE tv has increased its commitment to original programming over the past year, garnering several hit series, including Bridezillas, John Edward Cross Country and Secret Lives of Women. To date in 05/06, the network has +225% more original telecasts during Prime M-Su 8pm-11pm than in the same time period during the 04/05 season. WE tv also experienced its best summer ratings ever for Prime HH and demo delivery (W 18-34, W18-49, W25-49, W25-54), and summer 2006 ranks as the highest rated summer for originals in the history of the network (.33 HH RTG).

"Our increased ratings this season are a tribute to our commitment to creating original programs that are fun, engaging and connect with our viewers," stated Kim Martin, Executive Vice President and General Manager of WE tv. "These three new programs are a natural fit for the network. Hollywood Hair Affair and Hair Trauma focus on celebrities, style and relationships, all topics that our viewers have told us they love, and Ghost Moms brings a similar supernatural element as John Edward Cross Country, which premiered as the highest rated original series on our network. We are excited to premiere these new originals in October, and look forward to continuing our ratings momentum."

Following are descriptions for each of the original programs premiering in October on WE tv.

Hollywood Hair Affair - Premieres Monday, October 9th at 10:00 pm ET

The one-hour original special Hollywood Hair Affair tracks the hook-ups, break-ups and post separation hair makeovers of our favorite celebrity couples. From those sexy, flowing tresses that show off a flourishing romance to those tragic spit ends that represent a messy split and eventually to those fabulous new highlights that celebrate an exciting new love affair, explore each relationship's beginning and end. And through it all, check out the effect all the emotional trauma had on everyone's hair! Hollywood Hair Affair is produced by Atlas Media.

Hair Trauma - Premieres Wednesday, October 11th at 10:00 pm ET

Emmy-nominated hairstylist to the stars, Ellin LaVar, is a tough, savvy businesswoman with a heart of gold. She owns a successful family-run hair salon, and she's beloved by her diverse and fascinating customers. Though it may sound sweet, her family knows just how to make her crazy. In each of the six half-hour episodes cameras throughout the salon catch all the drama, from weaves gone wrong to dye job disasters. Hair Trauma! is produced by Red Moxie.

Ghost Moms - Premieres Friday, October 27th at 10:00 pm ET

The one-hour original special Ghost Moms follows an eclectic group of women from Oklahoma. What's so unique about these ladies? As members of the Paranormal Investigation Team of Tulsa, they are super moms by day and ghost hunters by night. It's a Halloween treat on WE tv. Ghost Moms is produced by AuthenticTV.
