WEEKLY REALITY -- THE PREMIERE OF "SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS" POWERS CBS TO A FIRST PLACE FINISH IN ADULTS 18-49 AND ADULTS 25-54

"Survivor: Cook Islands" Dominates Its Time Period With 18 Million Viewers and Is The Week's Top Entertainment Program in Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54

"The Amazing Race 10" Is Off and Running With Its Largest Audience Since February and Best Demo Ratings Since March

The Winning Week Also Included the Finales of "Big Brother: All-Stars" and "Rock Star: Supernova"

For CBS, it was a week of reality comings and goings with the premieres of SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS and THE AMAZING RACE 10 and the finales of BIG BROTHER: ALL-STARS and ROCK STAR: SUPERNOVA leading the Network to a first place finish in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, in the week ending Sept. 17, the final week of the 2005-2006 television year

The premiere of SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS was the week's highest rated entertainment program in both adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

For the week in viewers, CBS averaged (9.24m), ABC (9.41m), NBC (7.86m) and FOX (7.22m). For the summer in viewers, CBS (7.59m) led NBC (6.72m), FOX (6.20m) and ABC (5.84m).

For the week in households, CBS (6.0/12) was -3% behind ABC (6.2/11) and +13% ahead of NBC (5.3/09) and +30% ahead of FOX (4.6/08). For the summer in households, CBS (5.1/09) led NBC (4.5/08) by +13%, FOX (4.0/07) by +28% and ABC (3.9/07) by +31%.

For the week in key demographics, CBS finished first in both adults 25-54 (3.7/10) and adults 18-49 (3.1/09). For the summer, CBS finished first in adults 25-54 (2.8/08) and third in adults 18-49 (2.2/07, -0.1 behind NBC, -0.2 behind FOX).

? SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS SPECIAL (S) easily won its 8PM time period in households (10.1/17), viewers (18.00m), adults 25-54 (7.8/21), adults 18-49 (6.5/20) and adults 18-34 (4.5/16). This is the best delivery for a SURVIVOR episode in viewers, adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 since Feb. 9, 2006.

--SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS SPECIAL increased its delivery in the second half-hour: +7% in households (10.5/17 from 9.8/17), +12% in adults 25-54 (8.3/21 from 7.4/21), +13% in adults 18-49 (6.9/20 from 6.1/20), +17% in adults 18-34 (4.8/16 from 4.1/15) and added +1.55m viewers (18.78m from 17.23m, +9%). SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS was the night's Number One program in viewers, adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

? THE AMAZING RACE 10 SPECIAL (S) (8:30-10:01PM) posted a 6.3/10 with 10.13m viewers, 4.6/10 in adults 25-54, 3.9/09 in adults 18-49 and 3.1/09 in adults 18-34. This is the best delivery for any AMAZING RACE broadcast in households and viewers in since 2/28/06, in adults 25-54 since 3/21/06, in adults 18-49 since 3/28/06 and in adults 18-34 since 3/14/06.

? ROCK STAR: SUPERNOVA TUESDAY (4.4/07, 7.18m) was second in adults 25-54 (3.9/09) and adults 18-49 (3.5/09) from 9:00-10:00PM. This matches ROCK STAR: SUPERNOVA TUESDAY 's best adults 18-34 delivery (3.0/08) and is the second best households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 delivery this season (behind last week).

? ROCK STAR: SUPERNOVA WEDNESDAY (4.5/07, 7.03m) was second in adults 25-54 (3.6/10) and adults 18-49 (3.1/09). ROCK STAR: SUPERNOVA WEDNESDAY posted its best delivery in households and viewers, tied its best delivery in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.

? The finale of BIG BROTHER: ALL-STARS averaged 5.3/08 I households, 8.14 million viewers, 3.6/09 in adults 25-54, 3.1/09 in adults 18-49.
