CBS's Saturday Delivers Its Highest Ratings in Nearly a Year

CBS weekly winning streak reached seven in viewers and adults 25-54, highlighted by the performance of sophomore drama CRIMINAL MINDS which became the first hour-long scripted series to attract a larger audience than "Lost," according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Nov. 5, week seven of the 2006-2007 television season.

For the week in viewers, CBS (12.79m) beat ABC (11.36m), NBC (10.93m) and FOX (6.36m). Season-to-date in viewers, CBS (12.99m) is first followed by ABC (11.67m), NBC (10.32m), FOX (8.52m) and the CW (3.45m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (4.9/11, for the seventh consecutive week) and a competitive third in adults 18-49 (3.8/10, -0.1 behind ABC, -0.2 behind NBC). Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 and second in adults 18-49 (just -0.2 behind ABC).

For the week in households, CBS (8.2/13) had a +11% advantage over ABC (7.4/12), +17% over NBC (7.0/11) and +105% over FOX (4.0/06). Season-to-date, CBS is first in households (8.3/14), outpacing ABC by +9% (7.6/12), NBC by +24% (6.7/11) and FOX by +51% (5.5/09).

CBS WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS:

? CRIMINAL MINDS was first in households (10.8/16), viewers (16.97m, +900,000 viewers ahead of "Lost"), second in adults 25-54 (6.4/14) and adults 18-49 (5.0/12). This is the best Wednesday adults 18-49 rating and viewer delivery ever for CRIMINAL MINDS and matched its best Wednesday adults 25-54 delivery.

-- This marks the first time CRIMINAL MINDS has topped a first-run "Lost" for the hour. This is also the first time CRIMINAL MINDS topped "Lost" in both half-hours in viewers after topping the ABC drama from 9:30-10:00PM only for the last three weeks. It also becomes the first hour-long scripted program to score more viewers than the ABC hit series. CRIMINAL MINDS also achieved its closest competitive position in both adults 25-54 (-1.1) and adults 18-49 (-1.6) to a first-run episode of "Lost".

? NCIS was second in households (10.1/16), viewers (15.94m), adults 25-54 (5.4/14) and adults 18-49 (3.9/11). NCIS posted its best viewer delivery of the season for the third time in the last four first-run broadcasts and for the third consecutive first-run broadcast was off just -0.1 in both adult 25-54 and adults 18-49 season highs.

? JERICHO was second in households (6.0/09), viewers (9.87m), adults 25-54 (4.0/10) and adults 18-49 (3.0/08). Compared to the same night last year ("Still Standing" and "Yes Dear"), JERICHO was up +20% in households, +43% in adults 25-54 and +30% in adults 18-49.

? CSI: NY was first in households (10.6/18), viewers (16.64m), adults 25-54 (6.5/17) and adults 18-49 (5.4/15). CSI: NY topped NBC and ABC combined by +10% in households (vs. 9.6/17), +3% in adults 25-54 (vs. 6.3/16), +2% in adults 18-49 (vs. 5.3/15) and had a +3.01m viewer lead (vs. 13.63m combined, +22%).

? SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS won its time slot in viewers (15.30m), adults 25-54 (6.8/16), adults 18-49 (5.4/14) and second in households (8.9/14). Compared to the last first run episode (10/19/06), SURVIVOR was up +6% in adults 25-54 (from 6.4/16), +2% in adults 18-49 (from 5.3/14) and added +280,000 viewers (from 15.02m, +2%).

-- SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS topped "Ugly Betty" in adults 18-49 (vs. 4.4/11, +23%), adults 25-54 (vs. 5.1/12, +33%) and viewers (vs. 13.62m, +1.68m viewers or +12%). This matches SURVIVOR's largest adults 25-54 advantage over "Ugly Betty" (+1.7 rating points) and is the largest adults 18-49 advantage (+1.0 rating point) since 10/12/06.

? CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was a strong second in households (12.9/19), viewers (20.77m, -0.26m behind ABC), adults 25-54 (8.6/18) and adults 18-49 (7.0/16).

? GHOST WHISPERER was first in households (7.1/12), viewers (11.22m), adults 25-54 (4.7/13) and adults 18-49 (3.6/11). This is GHOST WHISPERER's best household delivery of the season, best viewers and adults 25-54 performance since March 3, 2006 and matches the all-time best adults 18-49 performance.

? CLOSE TO HOME was first in households (7.6/13), viewers (11.57m), adults 25-54 (4.0/11) and adults 18-49 (3.0/09). This is CLOSE TO HOME's best delivery in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 since the season premiere (September 22, 2006).

? NUMB3RS was first in viewers (11.08m), adults 25-54 (4.4/12), adults 18-49 (3.2/10) and was tied for first in households (7.2/13, with NBC) against NBC's highly-promoted "Law & Order" episode with Chevy Chase guest starring in an episode featuring a Mel Gibson-like drunk driving arrest.

? CRIMETIME SATURDAY 8PM "CSI: Miami" (R) won its time slot in households (5.2/09), viewers (7.82m), tied for first in adults 25-54 (2.5/07, with FOX) and second in adults 18-49 (1.9/06). This is CRIMETIME SATURDAY 8PM's best delivery in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since November 26, 2005.
