LOVE, LONGING AND LOTS OF SAND WHEN AMANDA BYNES FINDS HERSELF LOVEWRECKED JANUARY 21ST ON ABC FAMILY

Burbank, CA (December 4, 2006) Imagine if you had the chance to be deserted on a tropical island with one of todays hottest men. Would you see it as an opportunity for a Justin Timberlake-type to fall madly in love with you or would you be desperate to be found? This January, Amanda Bynes (What a Girl Wants) finds herself in that very predicament in the ABC Family original movie LOVEWRECKED, Sunday, Jan. 21 (8:00 10:00 PM ET/PT). The film also stars Chris Carmack (The O.C.), Jonathan Bennett (Mean Girls), Jamie-Lynn DiScala (The Sopranos), Fred Willard (Monster House), Kathy Griffin (My Life On The D List) and Lance Bass (On The Line).

Jenny Riley (Bynes), who is always looking for Mr. Right, and her best friend Ryan (Bennett) are spending the summer in the Caribbean for a work study program. The calm relaxing summer the two had planned turns chaotic when Jennys pop star idol, Jason Masters (Carmack), shows up at the resort on break from his concert tour schedule. Determined to get close to him and show him they were meant to be together, Jenny follow Jason onto a dinner cruise that hits some choppy waters. Once marooned on a deserted island with Jason, Jenny sees this as her golden opportunity. But can she convince Jason that they are soul mates before they get rescued or will she realize that the real love of her life has been right under her nose the entire time?

LOVEWRECKED was directed by Randal Kleiser (Grease) and written by Stephen Langford (Just Deal). The film was executive produced by Lance Bass, Derek F.C. Elliott, Kelli Konop, Matthew F. Leonetti Jr. and Simon Lo.

Distributed in over 90 million homes, ABC Family features original movies, series and specials reflecting todays families and entertaining and connecting with adults through relevant stories about todays relationships, all told with diversity, dysfunction, passion, humor and heart.
