UNIVERSAL HD DECEMBER HIGHLIGHTS

RING IN THE HOLIDAYS IN HIGH-DEFINITION WITH UNIVERSAL HD

Burbank, CA � December 5, 2006 � Viewers can celebrate the holidays in high-definition with a sleigh load of films and sports on Universal HD.

"We're really pleased to be offering such a robust slate of films, sports and series to our audience this month," said Dan Harrison, Senior Vice President Emerging Networks, NBC Universal Cable Entertainment. "We're giving all of those consumers who unwrap their new high-def televisions a great selection of HD programming."

The high-def holidays kick off with the Back To The Future Weekend from Thursday, December 21st through Saturday, December 23rd. Viewers can enjoy three nights of Michael J. Fox and his DeLorean, at 10pm (ET) all in HD, including the premiere of Back to the Future II and III in 1080i.

Golfing families can gather 'round to see the Del Webb Father/Son Challenge on Sunday, December 24th at 11:30am (ET). Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Greg Norman and NBC golf analyst Johnny Miller headline an elite field of golfers playing with their sons, or in Palmer's case his grandson, in the 12th annual Del Webb Father/Son Challenge from the International Course at ChampionsGate Resort in Orlando, Fla., this weekend on NBC, 4-6 p.m. ET on Saturday and 3-6 p.m. ET on Sunday. Dan Hicks and Gary Koch will anchor the coverage from the 18th tower. They are joined by Bob Murphy, Roger Maltbie, Mark Rolfing and Jimmy Roberts.

Audiences can unwrap and relax in front of their new HD televisions on Christmas Day with a full lineup of high-def films and sports. Universal HD starts off at 8am (ET) with family comedies Stealing Christmas and Beethoven's 5th, followed by an encore of Dell Webb Father/Son Challenge and Jeep World of Adventure Sports HD. In the afternoon, viewers find out how the Savage family celebrates Christmas with a special episode of Complete Savages, followed by an encore of Stealing Christmas. Christmas evening winds down with comedies Babe, Matinee and Twins.

Universal HD's Double Feature Week, Tuesday, December 26th through Thursday, December 28th, features blockbuster and award-winning films back to back each night at 9pm (ET):

Tuesday: "Schwarzenegger Comedies" Twins and Junior

Wednesday: "Award Winning Dramas" The Pianist and Possession

Thursday: "Terry Gilliam Sci-Fi Night" Twelve Monkeys and Brazil

Universal HD rings in the New Year in high-def style from Friday, December 29th through Sunday, December 31st.

The weekend celebration kicks on Friday with the Universal HD premiere of Hilton Family Skating and Gymnastics Spectacular at 6pm (ET), followed by the Universal HD premiere of Musselman's Apple Sauce Presents Gretchen Wilson Country on Ice at 8pm (ET). At 10pm (ET), Madonna makes her premiere on Universal HD with The Confessions Tour, followed by an encore performance at 12am (ET).

On Saturday afternoon, 2006 ADT Golf Skills Challenge � Round 1 premieres on Universal HD at 7pm (ET) with Final Round coverage on Sunday at 7pm (ET). Fans can tune in to see: Peter Jacobsen, winner of the 2004 U.S. Senior Open and the 2005 Ford Senior Players Championship, and Roger Clemens of the Houston Astros, one of the best pitchers in baseball history; Jason Gore, PGA TOUR phenom and winner of the 2005 84 LUMBER Classic, and Dan Marino, NFL Hall of Famer and former Miami Dolphins' great who holds the NFL records for single season and career passing yards; Trevor Immelman, PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year contender and winner of the 2006 Cialis Western Open, and Jerry Rice, the consensus greatest wide receiver in NFL history and Paula Creamer, top LPGA pro and 2005 Rookie of the Year, and Sterling Sharpe, the five-time NFL All-Pro and studio analyst for NBC's "Football Night in America."

The fun continues on Saturday night with the triple-feature of Back to the Future II, Back to the Future III and Timecop beginning at 10pm (ET).

The celebration wraps up on Sunday with finales of fan favorite Uni HD Sci Fi series: Firefly at 4pm and 9pm (ET) and Battlestar Galactica: Season 2 at 5pm and 10pm (ET). Viewers can then spend New Year's Eve with Madonna's The Confessions Tour encores at 12am and 2am (ET).

Universal HD's X-Treme Fridays continue in December beginning at 12am (ET). Featured programming includes the Universal HD premiere of Undercover Brother and action-packed movies The Day of the Jackal and Sudden Death, as well as the premiere of two new Jeep World of Adventure Sports HD.
