AMC Premieres 'And The Nominees Are' Featuring Original Movie Programming Leading up to Academy Awards Ceremony
The 79th Annual Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, February 25th and to celebrate this time honored tradition, AMC will premiere And The Nominees Are, a programming initiative celebrating the best in film through the network's original series Sunday Morning Shootout, its unparalleled library of iconic movies and through exclusive interviews with celebrities about their favorite films.
From February 18-25th AMC will premiere:
Vignettes featuring: quotes from movies, famous Oscar acceptance speeches, celebrated movie lines and exclusive interviews with celebrities about their favorite film.
A movie marathon featuring films like Taxi Driver, Dances with Wolves, The Last Samarai, Hoosiers and Miracle on 34thStreet.
Two special Sunday Morning Shootout episodes: Sunday Morning Shootout: The Independent Spirit Awards featuring interviews with Amber Tamblyn and James Cromwell and Sunday Morning Shootout: The Academy Awards featuring interviews with Jennifer Hudson and Helen Mirren.
