QUICK TAKE
WILLIAM SHATNER IS THE FOURTH STAR TO BE ELIMINATED ON ABC'S "FAST CARS & SUPERSTARS" CELEBRITY RACING REALITY SHOW
Last night William Shatner was the fourth star to be eliminated from the celebrity racing reality show, "Fast Cars & Superstars Gillette Young Guns Celebrity Race." The next episode will air SUNDAY, JUNE 17 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on ABC.
In the fourth episode, Gillette Young Gun Ryan Newman and the Superstars threw the Alltel car around the track like a wild dog thrashing a rag-doll. Gabrielle Reece performed an incredible save after losing control and spinning out in the grass; William Shatner barely kept the car on the track, and Coach Bill Cowher earned the nickname "Crash" when he slammed into the wall at 151 mph. In this most eventful group, it was William Shatner who was eliminated in controversial circumstances, disqualified for unsafe driving.
"Fast Cars & Superstars Gillette Young Guns Celebrity Race" is hosted by ESPN anchor Kenny Mayne and co-hosted by former Cleveland Cavaliers center and current ESPN NASCAR analyst Brad Daugherty.
Celebrity Drivers are singer Jewel, actor William Shatner, skateboarding legend Tony Hawk, actress Krista Allen, seven-time World All-Around Rodeo Champion Ty Murray, former NBA Champion John Salley, former NFL Super Bowl Champion John Elway, World Wrestling Entertainment Champion John Cena, tennis star Serena Williams, volleyball great and model Gabrielle Reece, legendary surfer Laird Hamilton and former NFL Super Bowl-winning Head Coach Bill Cowher. Gillette Young Guns are Jimmie Johnson, Ryan Newman, Carl Edwards, Kasey Kahne, Kurt Busch and Jamie McMurray.
"Fast Cars & Superstars Gillette Young Guns Celebrity Race" airs in HDTV with 5.1 channel surround sound.
