CARSON DALY SIGNS NEW TWO-YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION CONTINUING HIS ROLE AS HOST OF NBC'S "LAST CALL WITH CARSON DALY"

DALY ALSO CONFIRMED TO HOST NBC'S NEW YEARS EVE SPECIAL LIVE FROM TIMES SQUARE IN NEW YORK CITY

BURBANK -August 6, 2007 - NBC will keep its top-rated late night team in place with the completion of a new two-year deal for Carson Daly, the host of "Last Call" and executive producer David Friedman, as announced today by Rick Ludwin, Executive Vice President, Late Night & Primetime Series. Recently celebrating its five-year anniversary, "Last Call with Carson Daly" has become a proven commodity in NBC's successful late night lineup. Ludwin added, "Carson Daly and David Friedman have reinvented "Last Call" by adding comedy elements, a pace and an energy that have made the show a winner. We're thrilled that they're going to continue to be part of our #1 late night lineup."

"Celebrating five years as a part of this incredible late-night lineup is a dream come true. Now I have more time to goof off late at night on NBC, and I can't help but think I am one lucky dude," stated Carson Daly. "We are having more fun than ever on the show and are continuing to break great new bands and talent. I'm very excited about the future of 'Last Call.'"

Ludwin also confirmed the continuation of what is becoming an NBC tradition, as Daly will once again host "NBC's New Years Eve with Carson Daly" from Times Square. The special, which premiered in 2004, will air live on Monday, December 31 at 11:35 p.m. (ET), and again promises to give the viewer the experience of being in the middle of the world's most famous New Years Eve destination. "NBC's New Years Eve with Carson Daly" will once again seamlessly blend cutting edge musical performances with appearances from some of the most exciting names in entertainment.

"Our goal every year is to help viewers on this amazing night feel as if they are in the middle of the action in Times Square," remarked David Friedman, who has also served as the Executive Producer of "NBC's New Years Eve with Carson Daly" since its inception. "By positioning correspondents throughout the massive crowd of revelers, and having Carson orchestrate everything from our main stage, we can really show the audience what it is like to be in the heart of New York City to celebrate bringing in the New Year."

Debuting in January of 2002, "Last Call with Carson Daly" boasts diverse bookings in the worlds of entertainment, politics and sports, and has a solid reputation for breaking new bands as well as showcasing the latest acts from the music industry. In addition to guest interviews and musical performances, the show features nightly monologues by Daly, as well as comedy bits and sketches. Year-to-date, "Last Call with Carson Daly" is ahead of both "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" in the coveted 18-34 demo, though "Last Call" airs 90 minutes later than "Kimmel" and an hour later than "Late Late Show."

"Last Call with Carson Daly" is produced by Universal Media Studios and is taped before a live audience at NBC Studios in Burbank, California. David Friedman and Guy Oseary are executive producers.
