SABRA JOHNSON IS AMERICA'S FAVORITE DANCER

NEIL HASKELL, LACEY SCHWIMMER AND DANNY TIDWELL ELIMINATED AS AMERICA'S VOTE IS REVEALED ON THE SEASON FINALE OF "SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE"

The third season of the smash summer hit SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE came to a spectacular conclusion as Sabra Johnson was named the champion on the live two-hour season finale tonight on FOX. Johnson, 20, a Contemporary dancer from Roy, UT, received the most votes after last night's final performance show and danced off with the cash prize of $250,000 and the title of America's Favorite Dancer.

Johnson's fellow finalists Neil Haskell, Lacey Schwimmer and Danny Tidwell were eliminated as host Cat Deeley revealed the voting results. A new record was set with over 16 million votes cast after last night's show, on which the Final 4 contestants each performed three couples routines and one solo dance.

On tonight's season finale, pop/rock artist Ryan Cabrera sang "I Will Remember You" the season-long "goodbye" song played in tribute to dancers voted off the show and Pussycat Dolls lead vocalist Nicole Scherzinger had the studio audience grooving to her performance of "Whatever U Like" from her forthcoming solo album.

The finale also featured group routines by the Top 20, Top 10 and Top 8 dancers; special guest performances by two memorable auditioners, clogger Brandon Norris and diminutive pop/lock dancer Brian Gaynor; encore performances of the judges' and choreographers' favorite couples dances of the season; and even an animated video "dance" by Cat Deeley and Nigel Lythgoe.

An instant hit, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Wednesday and Thursday are the No 1 shows in their respective time periods among most major demographics. Starting September 21, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE goes on the road for a 50-city tour featuring this season's Top 10 dancers. Fans in cities around the country will have a chance to see their favorite dancers in person. Tickets went on sale August 11 and quickly sold out in several cities; check fox.com/dance for additional information and updates.

Emmy-nominated SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE was created by Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe and comes from 19 Entertainment Ltd. and dick clark productions. It is executive-produced by Simon Fuller, Nigel Lythgoe and Barry Adelman.
