JULIA LOUIS-DREYFUS REUNITES WITH HER FORMER "SEINFELD" CO-STAR, JASON ALEXANDER IN AN UPCOMING EPISODE OF THE CBS MIDSEASON COMEDY, "THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE"
LOS ANGELES, August 29, 2007 - Julia Louis-Dreyfus will reunite with her former "Seinfeld" co-star Jason Alexander when he guest stars in an episode of the CBS midseason comedy, THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE.
Alexander will play a lizard handler for children's birthday parties with whom Christine goes out on a date.
THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus ("Seinfeld") in a comedy about a divorced working mom who's attempting to juggle the daily stresses of motherhood and work, while maintaining a positive relationship with her ex-husband, Richard (Clark Gregg) - which is easier when his pretty, new girlfriend isn't around to complicate the picture. Christine Campbell has a busy life -- after all, she's prone to taking NyQuil to get to sleep and leaving voicemail messages to herself in the middle of the night. She owns a women's 30-minute workout gym and manages to send her 10-year-old son, Ritchie (Trevor Gagnon) to a posh private school, where she endures endless encounters with two snooty, condescending stay-at-home moms, Marly (Tricia O'Kelley) and Lindsay (Alex Kapp Horner). Her slacker brother, Matthew (Hamish Linklater), lives with her and, in a pinch, also serves as Ritchie's babysitter. Christine gets along with her ex-husband even better than when they were married, but now that Richard's dating a "new" Christine" (Emily Rutherfurd) - making her the "Old Christine," she realizes that it's finally time for her to take that same leap.
