Channel's '13 Days of Halloween' Programming Block Will Feature 250 Hours of Hair-Raising Fare

NEW YORK, NY�September 7, 2007�SCI FI's pulling out all the stops this October with wall-to-wall Halloween programming including the second annual Ghost Hunters Live -- this year in prime time -- and the Channel's 13 Days of Halloween marathon! The 2007 Ghost Hunters Live investigation will take place on All Hallows Eve from 9pm-3am at the notoriously haunted Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville, Kentucky. New episodes of Ghost Hunters return to SCI FI on Wednesday, September 26 at 9pm ET/PT.

In October 2004, SCI FI introduced Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson�plumbers by day, Ghost Hunters by night! Jason and Grant head up TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society), a close-knit organization of volunteer paranormal researchers�ordinary people who investigate and attempt to debunk claims of otherworldly activity. These self-proclaimed skeptics have managed to expose some of the most frighteningly compelling evidence of paranormal phenomenon ever seen on television.

Nearly three years later, Ghost Hunters remains one of cable's hottest shows. In July, the hit series wrapped its best season ever in all key demos, averaging a 1.5 HH rating and 2 million total viewers across six episodes. Last Halloween, SCI FI debuted Ghost Hunters Live, a never-before-attempted, live, 6-hour Ghost Hunters investigation. A tremendous hit with viewers, 2006's Ghost Hunters Live was broadcast from 11pm-5am and scored over 1.4 million viewers in its first hour alone (11pm-12am).

Ghost Hunters Live will wrap up SCI FI's 13 Days of Halloween marathon. Featuring over 250 hours of horror and sci-fi movies, miniseries and originals, the marathon of chills begins October 19 at 8am and concludes on Halloween night with Ghost Hunters Live. Highlights include movies from Horrorfest � 8 Films to Die For, a spine-tingling collection of theatrical horror flicks from AfterDark Films, including: The Gravedancers (Premiering October 20 @ 9pm) starring Dominic Purcell (Prison Break), The Hamiltons (Premiering October 28 @ 5pm) featuring Brittany Daniel (Little Man) and Penny Dreadful (Premiering October 28 @ 9pm) with Rachel Miner (The Black Dahlia) and Mimi Rogers (Austin Powers�).
