KIMBERLY ELIMINATED FROM "AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL" ON THE CW

October 4, 2007 (Burbank, California) - Kimberly, a college student from Ocala, Florida, was the second girl eliminated during the ninth cycle of The CW's hit reality series "America's Next Top Model," reducing the pool from 12 girls to 11.

The girls arrived at 'Miss J's Fashion Madhouse' where they were challenged to walk a runway in restrictive straight jackets. Miss J wanted to teach them to be prepared for any type of clothing a designer would make them wear during a runway show. While all of the girls were uncomfortable in the confining jacket, Kimberly struggled a lot with this challenge. "You have to completely own it, but it was definitely owning me," said Kimberly.

The next day, guest judge and fashion show producer Roy Campbell and fashion designer Colleen Quen put the girls' new runway skills to the test. Each girl was dressed in a high fashion, yet restrictive, gown and then instructed to gracefully strut the runway. Following the show, Quen was disappointed that Kimberly did not bring out the spirit of her outfit. "The soul was a little bit empty," said Quen.

The following day the girls met with Jay Manuel and learned they would scale a rock climbing wall in gowns and heels for their photo shoot. While Jay pushed all the girls to really let go of themselves and step outside the box, he was not able to get Kimberly to stop playing it safe.

During the judging panel, the judges agreed that Kimberly's photo lacked flair. While many of the girls pushed themselves to new limits during their photo shoot, Kimberly was unable to translate her perfect features into a striking photo. "My favorite part of you is your eyes and you can't even see them here," Tyra said before eliminating Kimberly from the race to become America's Next Top Model.

In addition to a $100,000 contract with cosmetics giant CoverGirl, this year's prize package for the winner of The CW's "America's Next Top Model" will include a contract with Elite Model Management and a cover and six-page fashion spread in Seventeen magazine.

The ninth cycle of the hit reality series "America's Next Top Model" on The CW follows 13 young women as they attempt to prove they have what it takes to make it in the high-stress world of modeling. Banks, who created the show, also serves as executive producer along with Ken Mok ("Making the Band") and Daniel Soiseth ("Hell's Kitchen").

"America's Next Top Model" airs Wednesdays, (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on The CW. For more information about "America's Next Top Model" log on to www.cwtv.com.
