TELEMUNDO NOVELA STAR MIGUEL VARONI GUEST STARS ON NBC'S "MY NAME IS EARL"

MIAMI - October 17, 2007 Renowned and multi-talented Telemundo actor, Miguel Varoni, will guest star in NBC's hit comedy "My Name is Earl," marking his English-language television debut.

The Colombian actor will appear in the episode titled "Creative Writing," where he takes on the role of Catalina's childhood sweetheart, Javier, who re-surfaces in her life in a very colorful way.

"It was a great surprise to receive this invitation; if they would have told me two weeks ago that I was going to be here, I wouldn't have believed it," said Varoni."I truly enjoyed doing my scenes, and working with the series' amazing cast and crew".

Varoni's jump to stardom came when he played Pedro Coral, the lead role in the Spanish-language television phenomenon "Pedro el Escamoso." His portrayal garnered him national and international recognition, and gave way to many awards including "TV Y Novelas" in 2002 for Best Actor, a New York Ace award for International Male Figure of the Year 2002, and an "Inte 2002" U.S.A award for Best Actor, just to name a few.

Varoni has appeared in numerous Spanish television productions, among the most popular "Los Cuervos," "La Potra Zaina," "El Angel de Piedra," and "Las Juanas," for which he has also garnered numerous awards. After his tremendous success as Pedro el Escamoso, Varoni became an exclusive Telemundo talent, with the role of Alejandro Mendez in "Te Voy a Ensear a Querer," which was followed by the role of Miguel Angel Buenaventura in the comedy "Seguro y Urgente." He has also distinguished himself not only as an actor, but as a producer with his participation in the successful TV show "Decisiones" and most recently appeared in the film "Ladrn Que Roba Ladrn."

To date, "My Name is Earl" has received a People's Choice Award, two Television Critics Awards, a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series and Emmy Awards for writing, directing, casting and editing. "My Name is Earl" featuring Miguel Varoni will air on NBC on Thursday, October 18 at 8PM/7c.
