CBS's Ratings in a Most Atypical Week That Included Four World Series Games

"NCIS" Wins Its Time Period in Key Measures for the Fourth Straight Week

"Kid Nation" Delivers Its Largest Audience Since Premiere-Notches Ratings Growth For the Second Consecutive Week

"How I Met Your Mother" and "The Big Bang Theory" Up in Adults 18-49 Versus Prior Week

"Ghost Whisperer" Delivers Highest Ratings of the Season

"Moonlight" Follows with Best Viewer Delivery and Highest Demo Ratings Since Premiere

In an atypical week that included four World Series broadcasts, CBS saw continued growth in freshman series KID NATION, MOONLIGHT and THE BIG BANG THEORY, another time-period winning performance from NCIS and solid performances from HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, GHOST WHISPERER, COLD CASE and SURVIVOR: CHINA, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Oct. 28, week five of the 2007-2008 television season.

For the week in viewers, CBS (11.17m), FOX (13.78m); ABC (11.19m) and outpaced NBC (7.00m). Season-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (11.95m), ahead of ABC (11.45m), FOX (9.96m) and NBC (8.82m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS averaged a 3.9/10 in adults 25-54 and 3.0/08 in adults 18-49.

For the week in households, CBS (7.2/12), FOX (8.6/14), ABC (7.4/12) and NBC (4.4/07). Season-to-date, CBS remains first (7.6/12), +1% ahead of ABC (7.5/12), +23% ahead of FOX (6.2/10) and +36% ahead of NBC (5.6/09).

CBS's Weekly Highlights:

? HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was second in households (5.4/08), viewers (8.50m), adults 25-54 (4.0/10) and adults 18-49 (3.4/09). Compared to last week, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was up +8% in households (from 5.0/08), +18% in adults 25-54 (from 3.4/09), +10% in adults 18-49 (from 3.1/09) and added +790,000 viewers (from 7.71m, +10%).

? THE BIG BANG THEORY was second in households (5.5/08), viewers (8.81m), adults 25-54 (4.2/09) and adults 18-49 (3.5/09). THE BIG BANG THEORY built on its HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER lead-in by +2% in households, +5% in adults 25-54, +3% in adults 18-49 and added +310,000 viewers. Compared to last week, THE BIG BANG THEORY was up +6% in households (from 5.2/08), +14% in adults 25-54 (from 3.7/09), +13% in adults 18-49 (from 3.1/08) and added +870,000 viewers (from 7.94m, +11%).

? TWO AND A HALF MEN was second in households (8.7/12), viewers (13.94m), adults 25-54 (6.2/13) and adults 18-49 (4.8/11). Compared to last week, TWO AND A HALF MEN was up +3% in adults 25-54 (from 6.0/13), +2% in adults 18-49 (from 4.7/10) and added +250,000 viewers (from 13.69m, +2%).

? CSI: MIAMI was first in households (10.4/17), viewers (15.67m), adults 25-54 (5.8/14), adults 18-49 (4.6/12) and adults 18-34 (3.2/08).

? NCIS was first in households (10.9/17), viewers (17.26m), adults 25-54 (5.4/14) and adults 18-49 (3.8/10) - all for the fourth consecutive week. This is NCIS's second best delivery this season in viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 (just behind last week's performance in these measures) and matches last week's season high household delivery.

? KID NATION (4.8/08, 7.86m) was first in children 6-11 (2.6/09) and children 2-11 (2.0/07). Compared to last week, KID NATION was up +4% in both households (from 4.6/07) and adults 18-49 (2.5/07 from 2.4/06), +7% in adults 25-54 (2.9/07 from 2.7/07), +5% in children 2-11 (from 1.9/07), even in children 6-11 and added +510,000 viewers (from 7.35m, +7%). KID NATION was Wednesday's #1 program in children 2-11 and children 6-11.

? SURVIVOR: CHINA was first in households (8.5/13), viewers (14.19m), adults 25-54 (5.7/14) and adults 18-49 (4.5/12). SURVIVOR: CHINA has won its time period in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 for six consecutive weeks.

-- CBS was first on Friday in households (5.9/11), viewers (9.36m), adults 25-54 (3.5/10) and adults 18-49 (2.6/08). CBS was won every half-hour in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. This is CBS's best delivery this season on a Friday in both viewers and adults 18-49 and matches the best delivery in both households and adults 25-54.

? GHOST WHISPERER (6.3/12, 9.92m) was first in adults 25-54 (3.6/12) and adults 18-49 (2.7/10). This is GHOST WHISPERER's best delivery in households and adults 25-54 delivery since February 23, 2007, in viewers since February 16, 2007 and in adults 18-49 since May 11, 2007.

? MOONLIGHT (5.3/09, 8.39m) was first in adults 25-54 (3.2/09) and adults 18-49 (2.4/07). This is MOONLIGHT's best delivery in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since the Sept. 28 series premiere.

? NUMB3RS was first in households (6.1/11), viewers (9.70m), adults 25-54 (3.5/10) and adults 18-49 (2.6/08).

? COLD CASE (7.6/11, 11.78m) was up +3% in households (from 7.4/11), +14% in adults 25-54 (4.2/09 from 3.7/08), +11% in adults 18-49 (3.0/07 from 2.7/06) and up +90,000 viewers (from 11.69m, +1%) compared to last week.
