VH1's 'The Critics' Choice: Best Movies Of 2007' Takes an Inside Look at the Year's Most Significant Performances In Film
The Pre-Awards Season Special Featuring BFCA Critics' Sam Rubin, Pete
Hammond, Jeanne Wolf, Carrie Keagan And Mark S. Allen Will Premiere
Saturday, December 15 at 10 PM (ET/PT)
NEW YORK, Dec. 3 -- As the new television network home for
The Broadcast Film Critics Association's (BFCA) "Critics' Choice Awards,"
VH1 and the cinematic experts from the BFCA are here to guide you on the
most important movies and performances of the year in our pre-awards season
bonanza, "The Critics' Choice: Best Movies of 2007." This round table
discussion will premiere on Saturday, December 15 at 10 PM (ET/PT). Select
footage from the round table discussion will be available online at
http://criticschoice.vh1.com on December 18.
"The Critics' Choice: Best Movies of 2007" is a debate and inside look
at the nominees for the upcoming Critics' Choice Awards. Our moderator Sam
Rubin, from KTLA's "Good Day LA," will preside over a four-person panel of
BFCA critics that includes Pete Hammond, a film critic for Maxim Magazine
as well as awards columnist for the Los Angeles Times, Jeanne Wolf, a
widely respected critic and entertainment journalist for Parade Magazine,
Carrie Keagan, the naughty critic from NO GOOD TV and the hyper-opinionated
entertainment anchor from CW31's "Good Day Sacramento," Mark S. Allen. The
critics will debate about the best films and performances of 2007, while
giving viewers the inside track on who has the best shot at winning a
Critics' Choice Award(TM) -- the most historically reliable predictor of
OSCAR(TM) GOLD!
Since its inception in 1995, the "Critics' Choice Awards" has become a
star-studded bellwether event of the movie awards season. The BFCA
consistently picks nominees and winners that go on to garner more Academy
Award nominations and wins than any other movie awards show. This year,
actor and comedian D.L. Hughley will host the "13th Annual Critics' Choice
Awards" gala LIVE from the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on Monday, January
7 at 9 PM (ET/PT). Presenters and special guests will be announced as they
are confirmed.
"The Critics' Choice: Best Movies of 2007" is a production of VH1 with
Jane Mun and Patrizia DiMaria serving as producers and Lee Rolontz and Joey
Berlin as executive producers.
VH1 connects viewers to the music, artists and pop culture that matter
to them most with TV series, specials, live events, exclusive online
