Premiere Week Kicks Off With Special Celebrity Guest Star, Wink Martindale

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Feb. 12 -- GSN announced today the launch of a new, live game show experience that will air weekdays from Noon to 3PM ET/ 9AM to Noon PT beginning Monday, February 25. An entirely new way to watch and win, GSN LIVE(TM) gives its viewing audience daily prize-winning opportunities while celebrating some of the most memorable game show moments of yesterday and today.

An at-home experience like no other, GSN LIVE combines the history of the game show genre with the exciting game play of three, daily on-air games. Viewers at home who wish to play can easily do so either by calling the toll free phone number (1-888-4-GSN-LIVE) or participating free, online at GSN.com. Everyone who participates in GSN LIVE -- whether they get on the air or not -- will be automatically entered to win that week's PRIZE BONANZA(TM) sweepstakes (awarded every Friday). Prizes awarded to winning GSN LIVE viewers will include fine jewelry, high-end electronics such as cameras and computers, and a variety of vacation packages.*

Hosted by NBC sports anchor and Olympic commentator Fred Roggin, GSN LIVE will be rolling out a number of exciting new opportunities for its viewers in the coming months including daily sweepstakes and other giveaways. Throughout the month of March, all contestants who make it through to play on-air will be entered to win a new car in GSN LIVE's monthly STEAL THESE WHEELS(TM) sweepstakes. The first lucky winner of STEAL THESE WHEELS will be driving away in a brand new 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser.*

"GSN LIVE will be a unique experience for game show fans every time they tune in," said Jamie Roberts, GSN's Senior Vice President of Programming. "With new prizes and exciting new opportunities to win in real-time every day, this is a fun, engaging way for us to further connect with our audience."

And for viewers who enjoy learning more about the game show experience, GSN LIVE will treat them to specially produced regular segments like Beyond The Bonus Round (wherein past game show winners reflect on their particular victories) and Behind The Curtain (which explores how game shows are made). In addition to game show-related trivia challenges, the experience will also feature a Recall Challenge game based on moments and trivia from a specific game show during the three-hour program block.

Joining Roggin, Heidi Bohay ('Better Homes and Gardens,' 'After Hours') will assist in doling out prizes to GSN's at-home audience as well as welcoming special guests ranging from game show veterans to celebrities and newsmakers. Throughout its inaugural week, revered game show host and special guest Wink Martindale ("Tic Tac Dough," "Trivial Pursuit") will reminisce on his experiences hosting some of television's most illustrious game shows. And in tribute, GSN will be airing select episodes of Martindale's panel appearances on "Password Plus" all week during the live, three-hour blocks. Upcoming special guests include game show legends Monty Hall, best known as the host of the long-running fan-favorite "Let's Make A Deal," and Peter Marshall, host of "Hollywood Squares."

The award-winning sports anchor for NBC4, Roggin is best known for his daily news segments as well as his sports recap for NBC's "Early Today" and MSNBC's "First Look" and "Morning Joe." He is also the creator and host of KNBC's Sunday Night Football post-game sports show, "The Challenge." Roggin is also a regularly televised contributor throughout NBC's Summer and Winter Olympic coverage.

Said Roggin on GSN LIVE: "Sports is a collection of games so this is a natural fit. I've always been a huge fan of game shows and I'm thrilled to be a part of this new experience GSN has created specifically for game show fans like me."

In addition to providing viewers new participation avenues, GSN LIVE offers advertisers unique sponsorship opportunities over a variety of mediums including television and broadband platforms. The series will also offer multiple options and opportunities for cable, satellite and telephony providers to sponsor game events.

Burt Dubrow is the executive producer of GSN LIVE. He was the executive producer of GSN's I'VE GOT A SECRET as well as "The Jerry Springer Show" and "The New Tom Green Show."
