CBS Dominates Friday... Again

CBS's scripted series once again led the Network to first place among viewers and adults 25-54 (tie), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending May 11, week 33 of the 2007-2008 television season.

This marks CBS's third consecutive weekly victory in viewers (garnering its largest weekly audience since the week ending March 30) and fourth in the last six weeks.

CBS had seven of the week's top 10 scripted series, led by CSI which ranked first among all scripted programs for the third consecutive week. CSI, WITHOUT A TRACE, CSI: MIAMI and NCIS all finished in the top 10 while TWO AND A HALF MEN, SURVIVOR: MICRONESIA FINALE, CRIMINAL MINDS, CSI: NY and SURVIVOR: MICRONESIA placed among the week's top 20 programs.

For the week in viewers: CBS (10.64m), ABC (9.53m), FOX (8.93m) and NBC (6.00m). Season-to-date, CBS is second in viewers (10.46m), behind FOX (11.14m) and ahead of ABC (9.19m) and NBC (8.19m).

For the week in households, CBS (6.7/11) outpaced ABC (6.2/11, +8%), FOX (5.5/09, +22%) and NBC (4.0/07, +68%). Season-to-date, CBS is first (6.7/11), +2% ahead of FOX (6.6/11), +14% ahead of ABC (5.9/10) and +29% ahead of NBC (5.2/09).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was tied for first in adults 25-54 (3.8/10, with FOX) and averaged a 2.9/08 in adults 18-49. Season-to-date, CBS is second in adults 25-54 (3.8/09) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (3.0/08, with ABC).

- Monday, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (4.8/12), tied for first in adults 18-49 (3.9/10, with FOX), second in households (7.3/12) and viewers (11.33m).

? TWO AND A HALF MEN in an episode written by CSI writers, was first in adults 25-54 (6.1/14), adults 18-49 (4.9/12), second in both households (8.5/13) and viewers (13.61m). TWO AND A HALF MEN was up +8% in households (from 7.9/12), +3% in adults 25-54 (from 5.9/13), +2% in adults 18-49 (from 4.8/11) and added +690,000 viewers (from 12.92m, +5%) compared to last week.

? RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (6.5/10, 10.39m) was second in adults 25-54 (4.9/11) and adults 18-49 (3.9/09). Compared to last week, RULES OF ENGAGEMENT was up +3% in households (from 6.4/09), even in adults 25-54 and added +80,000 viewers (from 10.31m, +1%).

? CSI: MIAMI was first in households (9.5/16), viewers (14.11m), adults 25-54 (5.3/13), adults 18-49 (4.0/11) and adults 18-34 (2.7/08). CSI: MIAMI was up +3% in both households (from 9.2/15) and adults 18-49 (from 3.9/10), +6% in adults 25-54 (from 5.0/13), even in adults 18-34 and added +230,000 viewers (from 13.88m, +2%) compared to last week.

? CSI: NY was first in households (8.3/14), viewers (12.73m), adults 25-54 (4.4/11) and adults 18-49 (3.3/09). CSI: NY was up +9% in households (from 7.6/12), +7% in adults 25-54 (from 4.1/10), +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.2/09) and added +1.22m viewers (from 11.51m, +11%) compared to last week.

- Thursday, CBS was first in households (9.6/16), viewers (15.14m), adults 25-54 (5.5/14) and second in adults 18-49 (4.3/12, -0.2 behind ABC). CBS won every half-hour in viewers for the third Thursday in a row.

? SURVIVOR: MICRONESIA was first in households (7.5/13), viewers (12.62m), adults 25-54 (5.1/14) and adults 18-49 (4.1/12). Compared to last week, SURVIVOR: MICRONESIA was up +3% in adults 18-49 (from 4.0/12), even in adults 25-54 and added +300,000 viewers (from 12.32m, +2%).

? CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION with its TWO AND A HALF MEN writer crossover, was first in households (11.4/18), viewers (18.07m), second in adults 25-54 (6.6/15) and adults 18-49 (5.0/13).

? WITHOUT A TRACE was first in households (9.8/16), viewers (14.67m), second in adults 25-54 (4.9/12, -0.1 behind ABC) and adults 18-49 (3.8/10). WITHOUT A TRACE was up +13% in households (from 8.7/15), +20% in adults 25-54 (from 4.1/10), +15% in adults 18-49 (from 3.3/09) and added +1.84m viewers (from 12.83m +14%). This is WITHOUT A TRACE's best delivery in households since Dec. 13, 2007, viewers and adults 18-49 since April 3, 2008 and adults 25-54 since April 10, 2008.

- CBS was first on Friday in households (5.5/10), viewers (8.58m), adults 25-54 (2.8/09) and adults 18-49 (2.1/07). CBS won every half-hour in viewers for the third consecutive week. CBS has finished first every Friday this season with their first-run regularly scheduled line-up (17 times) in households, viewers and adults 25-54, first in adults 18-49 with the network's first-run regularly scheduled line-up 16 Fridays out of 17 this season.

? GHOST WHISPERER easily won its time slot in households (5.6/11), viewers (8.79m), adults 25-54 (2.9/10) and adults 18-49 (2.1/08).

? MOONLIGHT won its time period in households (4.9/09), viewers (7.61m), adults 25-54 (2.6/08) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (1.9/06, with ABC).

NUMB3RS was first in households (5.9/11), viewers (9.33m), adults 25-54 (2.9/08) and adults 18-49 (2.2/07).

- CBS was first Sunday in viewers (11.79m), second in households (6.9/12, -0.1 behind ABC), adults 25-54 (4.6/12, -0.1 behind ABC) and adults 18-49 (3.7/10).
