By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The latest development news, culled from recent wire reports:

Looking to keep track of all the various projects in development? Click here to visit our signature "Devwatch" section. There visitors can view our listings by network, genre, studio and even development stage (ordered to pilot, cast-contingent, script, etc.). It's updated every day!

CUPID (ABC) - Rick Gomez ("What About Brian") has joined the cast of the Alphabet's "Cupid" revival, about a man (Bobby Cannavale) who thinks he is the Roman god of love. He'll play Felix, who's detailed in the casting notice as follows: "Late 20s/Early 30s, Prefer Latino, but open to all ethnicities. Operates Tres Equis, a Manhattan dive bar. It's difficult to rattle Felix. He rolls with the punches. It's this trait that allows him to continue renting out a room to a man who believes he's Cupid. Felix is the first college educated member of his family. His father, a man proud to have pulled himself up by his own bootstraps -- wanted to rent out this gem piece of real estate to a Starbucks franchise. Felix convinced his dad to let him take a stab at opening a bar. As the bar struggles, Felix's father will be an ongoing thorn in Felix's side. Though Felix's default mode is sincere, he has a sly sense of humor. Over the course of the series, Felix's love life will be the fodder for much story-telling. Claire and Trevor will push their agendas on Felix, though Felix will prove to be his own man. NOTE: Though Felix is a Latin name and Tres Equis is Spanish, items will be adjusted for any ethnicity that's cast." Bharat Nalluri is helming the ABC Studios/Sony Pictures Television-based hour from a script by Rob Thomas.

FOURPLAY (ABC) - Sarah Lafleur is the latest addition to the comedy pilot, about two men - Derek (Josh Cooke), who is straight, and Drew (Alan Tudyk), who is gay - who are lifelong best friends and business partners. She'll play Audrey, the stylish but emotionally messy girlfriend of Cooke's character. Warner Bros. Television is behind the half-hour, which comes from co-creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick.

IN TREATMENT (HBO) - "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" showrunner Warren Leight is in talks to ink a one-year overall deal with the network. The pact would then call for the writer/producer to develop new projects for the pay channel as well as serve as showrunner on a potential second season of "In Treatment." There he would serve alongside fellow executive producers Rodrigo Garcia, Stephen Levinson, Hagai Levi and Mark Wahlberg. It's not clear who will serve as Leight's successor on "Criminal Intent."

SENSITIVE SKIN (HBO, New!) - "Sex and the City" co-star Kim Cattrall is set to star and executive produce a potential new single-camera comedy at the network, based on the U.K. series of the same name. "The Sopranos" alums Mitchell Burgess and Robin Green are on board to write and executive produce the half-hour, which has a significant penalty attached. As for specifics, "Skin" will track a middle-aged wife and mother (Cattrall) in New York who rediscovers her sexuality and begins to question her place in the world and the choices she has made in life. Joanna Lumley toplined the British version, which aired on BBC Two for two seasons. Hugo Blick, the creator of the original series, and Henry Normal will also executive produce via their Baby Cow Productions banner.

UNTITLED DAVID HEMINGSON PROJECT (ABC) - Gail O'Grady ("Boston Legal") is the latest to sign onto the drama pilot, about a law school grad (Matt Long) from a blue-collar background who joins a Los Angeles boutique law firm. She'll play Susan Oppenheim, a competitive, cutthroat attorney at the firm who is married to the managing partner (Roger Bart). In addition, George Segal, Lolita Davidovich and Alexandra Holden are all set to guest star in the pilot. Details about their roles however were not specified. Ben Lawson, Morena Baccarin, Tina Majorino and Norbert Leo Butz also star in the 20th Century Fox Television-based hour, which Dean Parisot is directing from a script by David Hemingson.

THE UNUSUALS (ABC) - Harold Perrineau ("Lost") has joined the cast of the pilot, an offbeat dramedy set at a New York police precinct. He'll play Leo Banks, a detective who is always agitated and never takes off his Kevlar vest as he worries that he might die. Adam Goldberg and Monique Gabriela also star in the Sony Pictures Television-based project, which comes from creator Noah Hawley and director Stephen Hopkins.
