America's favorite crab fishermen swap tales of the Bering Sea in Gloucester, Massachusetts, a town famous for fishing and sea tragedies of its own. Mike Rowe (host of DIRTY JOBS and narrator of DEADLIEST CATCH) and the guys sit down with some of the Gloucester's legendary fishermen as well as author Spike Walker and Dutch Harbor bartender Lisa Roberts who has the inside scoop on what life is really like at the home port.

Topics covered in AFTER THE CATCH this year include: legendary fishing moments including monster waves and the treacherous ice pack; brothers who fish together and the respect they have for one another; close calls encountered by the fishermen over the years; deckhands and what they really think about their captains; and what life is like for these men when they are off the boat.

The most moving interview of the five-part series is one with Captain Phil Harris of the F/V Cornelia Marie and his sons, Jake and Josh. Phil recounts a terrifying ordeal in which he was thrown from his bunk after the boat took a massive wave during opilio crab season in January. He began coughing up blood and had trouble breathing but didn't know why. Calls made to the hospital back in town were not reassuring. But the boat was in high seas and rough winds � too rough for a Coast Guard helicopter to evacuate him from the Bering Sea. Phil was forced to tough it out on the boat until it was safe enough to get to town and see a doctor. The diagnosis was serious enough to keep him off the boat the rest of the fishing season.

The DEADLIEST CATCH episode featuring Phil's harrowing ordeal premieres on Tuesday, June 24 at 9 PM ET/PT. The AFTER THE CATCH episode recounting the incident premieres on Tuesday, July 15 at 10 PM ET/PT.
