The N Shapes Up This Summer With the New One-Hour Teen Reality Series, The N's Student Body

Series Premiere to Simulcast On The N and Nick at Nite Friday, July 11, at 10:00 P.M. (ET/PT)

Produced by Reveille and Hosted by Famed Athlete and Champion of Fitness Laila Ali; 12 High School Students Take On the Physical Challenge to Get Into Better Shape, Strengthen Their Lives and Compete For $25,000

NEW YORK, June 18 -- The N, the network totally for and about teens, and the award-winning production company Reveille (The Office, Ugly Betty, The Biggest Loser), are about to have a full-body overhaul this summer as the network presents The N's Student Body, Friday, July 11, at 10:00 p.m. (ET/PT) with a simulcast premiere on Nick at Nite. The eight-episode, hour-long teen reality series will air regularly every Sunday night beginning July 13 from 8:00-9:00 p.m. (ET) on The N.

The N's Student Body brings together 12 students from rival high schools in Decatur, IL, for a life-changing mission to get into shape. Getting fit isn't the only incentive. The winning school and the winning student that makes a change for the better, both physically and mentally, will take home $25,000 that will be used for new school facilities and programs. As these teens push themselves and one another toward the ultimate prize, they will face their fears, confront their families and find out if they have what it takes to transform their lives. The series is hosted by motivational author, famed athlete and champion of health and fitness, Laila Ali, and is executive produced by The N along with Reveille's Mark Koops, Dave Broome of 25/7 Productions and Ben Silverman, the founder of Reveille and now Co-Chairman of NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios.

"The N's Student Body is a reality TV series with a positive point-of-view, 'reality with morality' we like to say," said Sarah Tomassi Lindman, Senior Vice President and General Manager, The N. "Our viewers will find themselves cheering on these remarkable teens as they strive to get into shape and change their lives."

"The students on this educational and entertaining show inspired us with what they accomplished," said Mark Koops, Managing Director, Co-Head of Domestic Television, Reveille. "We hope that they will empower other teenagers to make positive changes in their lives by making simple, easy choices."

Susan Schulz, Editor-in-Chief of CosmoGIRL! magazine and her team of top fashion stylists will guest star on two back-to-back episodes of The N's Student Body. The magazine will provide fashion tips and style advice as they help the teens update their current wardrobe to better fit their new healthier shapes. One winning team will win a shopping spree and receive personal one-on-one attention from the magazine's stylist as they select new back-to-school clothing to better represent their new fashion style and image. In celebration of all their hard work, the magazine will provide a selection of designer tuxedos and evening gowns for all the students to choose from as they get ready to party the night away for an upcoming school dance.

"At CosmoGIRL! we encourage girls to feel good about themselves inside and out," said Schulz. "A healthy diet and lifestyle gives them the confidence they need to pursue their dreams and get the most out of life."

The N's Student Body follows the network premiere of Queen Bees at 9:00 p.m. (ET) on The N. The hour-long ultimate mean girl makeover reality series takes an introspective look at seven self-centered, narcissistic girls who have been elected by family members, boyfriends and friends in the hopes that they will better themselves from the inside out. Each young woman will take a closer look at who they are and re-examine their not so nice ways. The girl that changes the most will win $25,000.
